So-called youth hostel. Nothing to see around. The boss has a nice personality.

The 156-year-old B&B is well maintained. It is clean and hygienic. Enjoy breakfast. There are meals in the B&B at a low price. There is also a bathtub. The hostess personally cooks the drinking hot water, which is unlimited. She is very enthusiastic. Although you have to take a bus to the B&B, it is not far from the bus stop. It is also very convenient.

The B&B is run by a retired couple. The owners are very friendly and humorous, and the environment is quiet. The male owner is great at paper cutting. He will introduce you to nearby attractions and the breakfast is simple and delicious. There were a lot of homemade dried persimmons hanging outside the window. The elders invited us to try them. They were sweet and delicious.

Akakabu was a fantastic discovery! We arrive in a magnificent house completely destroyed in another region and rebuilt piece by piece in its current location, whose owners feel immense pride. We are welcomed by a dynamic, joyful, open and generous family, loving to welcome and offer the best to their guests. After a beautiful reception, a living room opens with the traditional fireplace in the center. The rooms are very beautiful, spacious, in which we prepare and store our futons ourselves as usual in a Minshuku. The Yukatas available are beautiful and comfortable and a thick layer can be put on top in cold weather. As soon as we arrived, we were invited to bathe and enjoy the baths as a couple, by putting up a small sign indicating that we are taking a family bath, so charming. The bathrooms are magnificent, all in cedar wood, with a large metal bathtub. There is also the possibility of doing laundry there, very appreciable for a backpacking trip. Everything is clean and smells good. The place readily invites you to meet other guests. The open-mindedness of the hosts is communicative and makes each moment unique and open to sharing. Everything is done to feel at home, with family or friends. The meals offered are plentiful and delicious. We were treated to a varied shabu shabu and many small dishes around, all prepared with the greatest care and quality ingredients. Breakfast was not left out, plentiful and tasty. In addition, wine, beers and especially excellent regional sakes are offered at very low prices to complete the taste tour. After the meal, we were invited to a demonstration / initiation of paper folding and cutting of which the owner of the place has been an expert for 41 years, all brought with humor in rich and open conversations. This place deserves a complete novel but we will stop there. Long story short, we loved it and Akakabu is very much on our travel books to return to as soon as we have the chance! Many thanks for everything!
