There were noises from outside that kept me awake. There was no hot water.

Very overpriced for what you get and disappointing - we wanted a treat and just got a headache staying here. The receptionist seemed unwelcoming and moody sighing when we had an issue. There was no hot water for when we stayed both seperate times (they knew about the issue on one side of the building and said nothing), we were eventually given another room to use the shower which was subsequently booked without informing us. The manager initially didn't seem very helpful. The rooms are nice and clean but the whole experience wasn't. The only.good aspect were the friendly bar staff, great cocktails and the chef was helpful with providing some vegan dishes. The fresh bread was delicious.

The Cara Lodge is a historical hotel in city center. has gorgeous patios and decorations. the restaurant is good and breakfast is not included. there is not elevator , and the rooms are spacious , the bathrooms need some tlc. the floors are dark woods from Guyana. the hotel is located in a nice area of the city. the great thing and service about the hotel is that the airport transfers can be charge to the room. No need to exchange $$ for extras or charges.

Me quedé al principio y al final de un tour de Guyana excelentemente organizado por Wilderness Explorers. Cara Lodge es un edificio en madera construido en el siglo XIX y tiene sin duda su encanto ya que te transporta a una época pasada. Las habitaciones son muy confortables con excelentes colchones y ropa de cama. El restaurante es de los mejores de la ciudad con un servicio atento, aunque, quizás, un poco lento. El wifi funciona muy bien.

Beautiful hotel with character. The rooms could do with some TLC. The restaurant service is great and the food is good. The home made ice cream was our night time treat. The prices are all over the place.e.g. 3 mini scoops of ice cream were 20 US$!!! The location is excellent.

A complete and total dump hotel. It's a very odd property (don't let the pictures fool you). The staff is rude, unpleasant, and do not like their job. Save yourself and pick another hotel in Georgetown.
