I have stayed at Princess Ramada several times, but this is the first time that I had to pay a large amount just to check in a couple of hours early. Never happened before. I was very tired and hot, so I paid - not happy about it.

Worst dining experience ever with overpriced food and crap service. After a day out in GT, my family decided to stop in for food while pondering staying the night so we didn't have to drive back with my elderly parents. On the way in, the automatic doors closed on my disabled aunt TWICE when she was halfway through. Then we sat at a table by the pool area and waited 20 mins before my dad got the manager (who was drinking in the back) to complain about the lack of service. Our order was finally taken and we waited forever for our meals which did not come together. Two tables that arrived after us had their meals served (completely and together) before the first meal at our table arrived. When it did finally arrive, I was told they were out of the meal I ordered and was told to order another meal - that was 30 minutes after ordering. We couldn't even dine together as each meal arrived 15 minutes apart for our party of 4 which included a diabetic. We complained again to the manager who apologised and said it wouldn't happen again and said our drinks were on the house - then charged us for the drinks. Went to the toilet, it was flooded. Opted to make the long drive back to my parents home. Final note, tables that were served uniformly and quickly were white and obviously foreigners. We are English and black. I wonder if the service would have been different if our skin tone was different! £99.00 for a table of 4 to receive curry fish tasted vinegary as though it wasn't cooked in the sauce, rubbery steak that tasted like liver chicken fried rice and Cajun snapper with 1 glass of wine and 5 non alcoholic beverages. NEVER AGAIN!!!

The hotel is convenient for cricket. We stayed for 10 nights. Breakfast is below average. The restaurant and bar are expensive and services are extremely poor. Room 544 is big but shower is slow, bathroom door doesn't close, AC is great, bed is comfortable. Housekeeping is horrible, never have clean towel, can't mop the room. The hotel should have a microwave in a common area which guest can use, that will be so helpful.
