For 1,500, you can only stay in ordinary hotels in the second and third tiers of China? But 1,500 RMB is really a top-notch price among Penang hotels. I think it was based on the price of this room type, so I was very disappointed when I arrived at this place. Although I was prepared for this to be a B&B before booking, the actual situation did not match the price at all (all I could think of was that Ctrip did not verify the situation. (?). There was almost no sound insulation, cheap carpets, and moldy electric mosquito coils... I originally booked two nights and only stayed for one night before I moved to another hotel I had stayed at before.

We enjoyed George Town and staying in the immaculate Revere Suite on the top floor. The people in the hotel were so professional and kind. The bath butler treats were lovely, breakfast and dinner food was delicious and cleanliness top notch. Some feedback to make the hotel even better…simplify the lighting and very cold a/c system and add some thick block out curtains so noise and light doesn’t filter through from the atrium. I think for older visitors, a peaceful hotel without constant music is a draw card. Other than minor quibbles, a great stay! Thank you.

Excellent location in Georgetown. Walkable to many attractions. We stayed 5 nights at 88 Armenian and thoroughly enjoyed the bath butler services, the sumptuous breakfast which never repeated, and kind hospitality of everyone at 88 Armenian. A lovely gem in the heart of Georgetown which we can't recommend enough.

A lovely boutique in the heart of the artistic quarter. We were immediately impressed by KC Tan and his teams attentive service. Nothing was ever considered a problem or out of reach. We stayed on the top floor. The room was well appointed with good quality Gessi bathroom Brassware and an oversized comfortable bed. Aesop products are included which adds a special and personal touch. We will return again soon, and we thank the team for their impeccable service during our stay.

We stayed at 88 Armenian at the Mackenzie Suite for 6 nights and the service we received was very warm and friendly. It felt like home away from home. The room was also very comfortable. We had 6 different types of breakfast during our stay too!

A wonderful, comfortable hotel with caring staff and unusual architecture. For 4 days, they never repeated the breakfasts. They saved my phone, which I forgot in a taxi :). The case when the hotel itself is an event and a vacation. An ideal place, we will remember and miss it.

Fully enjoyed our stay at 88 Armenian! The hotel is strategically located near to many sight seeing places, room is so comfortable, spacious and luxurious! Service is implacable! We had a great stay at the 88 Armenian! Great location and interesting building. Highlights were the bath butler, the breakfast, and the handwritten notes and treats from the staff. (Yes, you can really ask for a bath to be ready for you upon your return every evening!) We found the stay so relaxing and enjoyable that we framed one of the "good night" notes from the staff above one of our nightstands.

I would say it's one of the best small hotels in the world. Everything is just right. The rooms are very nice, bright, well thought out, already furnished, with high-tech, iPad for controlling the lights, music, electronics. Everything has been thought through down to the last detail. In the bathroom, a walk-in shower and a great big bathtub 🛁. Everything is there for washing your hair, for showering, body lotion, toothbrushes... a high-tech body scale. The food, the breakfast, the drinks... everything is prepared with a lot of love. The whole crew is very nice and accommodating. We washed clothes quickly by hand and hung them up by the window. The boss then brought them in when she was getting the room ready for the night because it started to rain. There are always umbrellas available that you can borrow at any time if it rains. The hotel is in the heart of George Town. We would check into the hotel again at any time, the price is always reasonable.
