Nous avons choisi un hôtel Barcelo après une belle expérience à Tenerife. Mais quelle déception! Même si les prestations sont globalement correctes, nous n’avons toujours pas de climatisation après une semaine, et nous ne sommes pas les seuls. Au bout de notre 3 eme réclamation, on nous a fourni… un ventilateur. En ce moment, il fait très chaud le soir et dormir les fenêtres ouvertes n’est pas possible… Ce n’est pas le standing d’un hôtel qui se veut 5 étoiles.

Séjour décevant pour un 5 étoiles. Nous séjournons actuellement dans l’hôtel pour 12 jours, et la climatisation est hors service depuis une semaine. Aucune solution réelle proposée, juste un ventilateur dans la chambre — totalement insuffisant compte tenu des températures. Pour un établissement de ce standing, et appartenant au groupe Barceló, ce type de problème technique non résolu est inacceptable.

The hotel was clean and rooms spacious. Pool was spotless and garden grounds were really pretty and well kept. Food was very good and all hotel staff were really pleasant and helpful. The hotel was very quiet and relaxing, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Superschönes Hotel in toller erhöhter Lage. Wir würden jederzeit wieder hier buchen. Es ist allerdings am besten ein Auto erforderlich, um ins Zentrum zu kommen. Parkplätze ausreichend vorhanden. Zimmer groß, das Bett übergroß! Badezimmer leider mit Badewanne anstatt Dusche, jedoch groß und gepflegt. Abendessen etwas teurer als in der Altstadt, dafür aber sehr gehoben und lecker!

We booked this hotel at 11pm at night when our flight was cancelled due to the weather in Madeira. We were worried that we wouldn’t be able to be checked in as it was midnight by the time we arrived but the staff were there ready to help all of us stranded passengers! The price was very reasonable and the staff were so lovely. The rooms clean and well maintained and the bed was so comfortable. We even managed to squeeze in a lovely breakfast and a swim in the pool before we had to leave for our rescheduled flight! Thank you Quinta for turning a slightly stressful situation into an amazing extra night in Madeira!

We were not impressed with the evening meal. In hindsight we should have gone B & B and eaten out each day but if we did this we would have had to use taxi's each way due to the steep 2km+ walk to the centre of Funchall. Room service was not reliable and I was surprised at the number of dead cockroaches every morning.
