Food and Beverage: The hotel offers a variety of food options with many guests appreciating the quality and diversity of meals. An all-inclusive option is available, which includes three meals a day. Cocktails and basic drinks are frequently highlighted as excellent.

Really nice stay with family. Good facilities, pools and outdoors. Food and drinks really good and a lot of variety. Staff excellent, really nice and available. The rooms starts showing need for modernisation.

This was the worst vacation in our lives, from the beginning to the day we left. We are devastated by what we found at the hotel upon arrival. The hotel is old, the rooms are dirty and smelly, we could smell damp everywhere, there are cockroaches, the beds are hard, and after a night, everything hurts, almost like sleeping on the floor. There's mold everywhere, the hotel pool isn't cleaned, and my husband has a rash all over his body, including his feet. The pool loungers are old, dirty, and sticky. There's mold on the umbrellas, too. Upon arrival, we were placed in a room that was dirty, smelly, and infested with cockroaches. After complaining to reception, we were told that cockroaches were common at this hotel and that they didn't have spare rooms. Only after calling EasyJet were we given another room, where water started dripping from the ceiling at 3 a.m. After calling reception, we were told to put a towel underneath the leaking sealing, there was a lot of water coming out. I knew it that towel wouldn't be enough. I went to reception and was given a wastebasket to hold the dripping water. After calling easy jet, we were provided with a third room which was a bit better, I would say 3 star as it was still old and smelly and the beds were hard. Mold was clearly visible in the bathroom. It's a scandal that someone pays so much money and has to stay in such conditions. On Tuesday we had a trip booked which we couldn't go on after a sleepless night with cockroaches and a leaking ceiling while waiting for Easy Jet to help us, we lost money because we weren't able to go to that trip. The reception staff were unpleasant, unkind and unhelpful. After this trip we are more tired than before our nightmare ,,holidays”, I wouldn't wish such a traumatic experience to anyone. Pestana Royal is definitely not 5 star Hotel.
