穴原温泉は、花の瀬に続いて２回目です。 通りから坂を降りて、入り口の前へ。 担当の方が、旅館前の駐車スペースを案内してくださいました。 フロント前のラウンジで順番を待っている際、コーヒーやお菓子の他に、蛇口から出てくる濃厚ジュースを飲みました。 アイスキャンディも置いてあり、風呂上りにいただきました。 続いて、漫画ルーム（ブックラウンジ「ふくろう」）を案内してもらいました。 4,000冊も所蔵しているそうです。 お部屋は紫雲閣６階です。 窓からは、眼下には摺上川、そして向かいには旅館が所有する山が見えます。 大浴場は地下にあります。 紫雲閣の地下には弁天の湯（内湯）とかもしかの湯（露天）、廊下の一番反対側にある凌雲閣地下には藤太の湯（内湯）とさるあみの湯（露天）があり、朝になると男女が入れ替わります。 弁天の湯の窓下半分が曇りガラスになっていて、湯船に浸かっていると外の景色が見えませんが、藤太の湯は全面透明の窓です。 また露天風呂は、さるあみの湯の方が川に近く、景色がいいです。 両方のお風呂の間に屋内プールがありますが、9月はもう閉鎖されていました。 プール前の通路の向かいには、皇族方が訪問された際の写真が展示されています。 食事はレストランまつかぜでした。 団体さんがいたらしく、配慮してもらい、個室に案内してもらいました。 黒毛和牛のすき焼きをはじめ、食べきれない程の美味しい料理でした。 朝食は同じレストランで、バイキング形式でした。 特にパンケーキがとても美味しかったです。 所謂仲居さんはおられませんが、職員の方皆さん親切で、気持ちよく一晩過ごすことができました。
