Hotel Angela - Adults Recommended

junior suite was great! very good value for money considering i booked last minute stayed at the new wing just opened/ refurbished a week prior to my stay there was a executive lounge offering free snacks. the pool is a bit small but the sundeck was really nice

Upon our arrival at the hotel, we were greeted promptly and checked in quickly. Fortunately, our room was ready around 11 a.m. Each day, the bed was made, and towels were changed upon request, while the rest of the room received light cleaning. A fridge is available for 10 euros for a week, and the safe and Wi-Fi are free of charge. We enjoyed a nice view of the street and some of the sea from our balcony. The bathroom appeared to have been partially updated; while the toilet area was outdated, the shower was new and a very good size. The only downside for us was the food. We tried both breakfast and dinner several times, but unfortunately, the quality was so poor that we couldn't eat it. Although the food selection was extensive, it was unlike anything I had ever experienced, making it difficult to enjoy a meal—especially since I don’t eat meat. As a result, we ended up dining out, which meant we didn’t fully benefit from what we had paid for. We would often go to breakfast and just have a coffee which was nice. From what we observed, the food at the snack bar looked appealing, based on what other guests were eating. Drinks at the bar were good value; however, the price varied from 6 to 9 euros for the same drink depending on who served us. Even when we enquired, we couldn't get a clear explanation for the discrepancy. The hotel provided a fruit platter and rose petal package for our Anniversary which my husband had arranged with them, I don’t know what the charge was but he said it was very reasonable. The Pool area is lovely with sunbeds and table and chairs, unfortunately some people do reserve beds but this didn't affect us as we used the area late afternoon. The pool was lovely and warm most days with a great view over looking the street and beach area. Hotel Angela is a great location for a stay in Fuengirola. Near by is Local Train station Bus stop The local supermarket Mercadona is nearby. Came out of Hotel Angela left-left- over the dry river - supermarket Mercadona should be on your left it should take about 10 minutes to get to it. This is also the same route to get to the Market. Stand outside the shop and you will be looking at the Park, walk towards it up a couple of steps and the market is in front of you. A carboot on a Saturday in the same location.

We stayed in room 520 which is part of the non-modernised building and had a side view of the sea Our room was dated and in need of a face lift, especially in the bathroom. The furniture was light and cheaply made and moved when I pulled the drawers out The food is ok and plentiful The cost of things did go up whilst we were there. When we first arrived the use of the rooftop terrace went up from €15 per day per person to € 20 The cost of a bottle of a water with the evening meal went from €2.30 to €3 The pool loungers and towels are a little dated and uncomfortable with no extra cushions provided. The ones on the beach are much more comfortable but do cost €7 each. The pool towels are charged at €1 per exchange. The pool area does not open until 9am which avoids people reserving the loungers beforehand. People que from 8:30 on the stairs to get the lounger of their choice but we never did and we always got a lounger. The staff take note of loungers that have towels on, and if no-one uses them after 1 hour, they remove the towels and free up the loungers for other guests. The communal areas are lovely and the bars, but the drinks are expensive. We made the most of the 12-1 Happy Hour at lunchtime The staff are lovely and the food is good. Our room was cleaned everyday and all areas are kept spotless. The hotel is literally a 2 minute walk to the beach which is great. There was a murky tide mark around the outdoor pool our entire stay and the pool is cleaned at night by a robot. The view is of the promenade and sea and is lovely. The indoor pool looked lovely but I never tried it. The lounging area outside is massive and does hold around 160 guests and this is a huge bonus to the hotel as is the location
