The Hub Hotel

I had a long and comfortable stay at the Hub from mib February till the end of March for a work assignment. Great staff, well maintained and clean. Very quick excellent laundry service which means next time I won't need to bring so many clothes. Food was very good even if I did tire of some of the menu after some weeks and stuck to one or two favorites. My room was well looked after and was grateful for the nice coffee machine and coffee. Each room has an USB port which was great. Great shower and good pressure with ample hot water. I was very impressed by the way it was managed and great efforts are made daily to clean and maintain all areas including the pool. There were nice spots where one could work outside one's room but also see or feel part of the many visitors to the hotel who came for the food, the cold drinks, the shishas and the pleasant ambience. Great views of the sea and nice fresh breezes. The ATM on site was useful and it is well located. My only challenge was that my room was a bit dark to work in but I was given a reading light which was helpful and there are ways to increase the natural light with the blinds. It is reassuring to see such a well managed hotel in what might be considered a difficult environment in some way. My thanks to each and everyone of the staff and the management for a really good and homely stay on my first ever visit to Freetown

relaxed but a bit missing on the atmosphere, i think that’s the “norm” here though - you head to the beach places for the semi tropic feel. food excellent for SL. amazing coconut water - cold and fresh. i don’t think they use rice vinegar for sushi rice - but then i dont know who does here. otherwise excellent sushi for SL. over all great food experience for SL.
