The Fredericton Inn

I have never seen such a dirty pool. So much mold at the bottom of ceramic walls that I took a sample on a towel and brought it to the front desk. Ring of dirt all around the pool … not stained but dirt that i easely removed with my nail. Spa with peeling paint and water very very hot. Towels everywhere on the floor. I was going for a swim but the water did not seem clear so I left. I notice that comments here are answered with auto reply. I hope the Fredericton sanitation department will look into this

Recently stayed here because every other place we usually stay was fully booked or prices doubled. Checkin was good, friendly, and quick. Amd were given coupons for breakfast, which was nice. Although we didn't use them, but heard the breakfast was good. The room was ok, but the sheets weren't the cleanest, and there was some kind of stain on one of the pillows. It was a decent mattress. The bathroom was not good. There was black mold around the tub, and the tub backed up immediately, so we skipped showers. The toilet seat had seen better days. They might want to look as they are probably easy and inexpensive fixes. All in all, we we won't stay here again and will opt for the Holliday Inn or Comfort inn next time we visit Fredericton.

I’m shocked that this hotel has 4 stars on this app. My stay was terrible. The front desk staff were nice but that is where any positive things I could say, ends. The front desk men were dressed in nice suits and I was hopeful that was an indicator of a well kept hotel… as it does look decent from the exterior. My hopes were quickly squashed as I walked down the hallway to find room 268. I could tell the carpets were old and worn, the walls were dirty and blemished. Upon entering my room I was greeted with a moldy/damp smell. The carpet in my room was old and very stained. The bathroom floor tiles were dirty and the ceiling had black mold. My 10 year old daughter really wanted to go swimming and against my better judgement I accompanied her to the pool area. It was down a flight of stairs (I never did see any elevator). The pool area was very dirty. The tiles were covered with grime and loose hair. The area next to the hot tub was unfinished, I’m actually not even sure what was going on there. The area was so dirty and unattractive that my 10 year old decided on her own accord that she was not getting in the dirty pool (thankfully)! My daughter woke up in the middle of the night coughing and full of snot— I firmly believe it was from the dust, dander, and mold in the room. I can tell that years ago, this hotel was probably quite grand. Sadly, it has not been kept up and is quite run down now.
