The location is very good, just a few minutes drive from the historic district of Winchester. There is a gas station, restaurant (including KFC) in front of the hotel, which is very convenient. The hotel has a rich breakfast and fruits (apples, summer oranges) are available 24 hours in the lobby. The room is quiet and comfortable.

This HIE is about finished with it's renovation and adding new wing. The staff at check in that evening was exceptionally friendly and made sure we felt welcomed. The suite was what you expect in a Holiday Inn Express...large rooms, comfortable beds and extra room to stretch out. Very clean. We did mention to front desk staff the following morning a couple of items that can easily be missed during renovations and fast room turnaround - an electrical wall plate had not been reinstalled over an outlet and the prior guest had left things in the mini frig which housekeeping apparently missed. These things happen and it did not hurt our thoughts about the hotel. Breakfast was well attended to by staff - never had anything run out...eating area was spacious and they now serve breakfast until 10:30 AM seven days weekly - not just weekends, which was appreciated , especially for late arrivals the prior night. In addition graciously offered late check out which unfortunately Hilton is preparing to make you pay for in 2026. Hope IHG does not go the same route. Would recommend this hotel and stay again.

This is a recently renovated HI express and everything is new and spotless. Love the bedding at these hotels whether new or old. Ideal location for our travels and worth the extra miles off I-81.

We stay here every time we visit family nearby . The staff is cordial, the rooms are always clean and well appointed and Mom loves the pool. Our floor had been renovated so it looked perfectly clean and crisp. We also enjoy the full hot breakfast each morning !

Employees shouldn’t take the best parking spaces. The lot was full and the last behind the desk had the best parking spot right in front of the building! Also, the hotel is under construction and they still charged full price !! Other than that, the room was excellent. The construction/room finish quality was excellent. Very nice bathroom but the space wasn’t designed correctly. The sink was overlapping the tub. The corporate architect must have been an intern with Pitt experience. Breakfast was good except the lady running it didn’t keep the forks stocked and people were running around trying to figure out how to eat pancakes with a spoon.
