Everything about this hotel was excellent starting with charming and helpful staff throughout. The food was excellent and the room on the lake had lovely views and was very well appointed but the AC initially struggled. There was a good bathroom and supplied with good quality products. There was a lovely pool area overlooking the lake with a bar area. We would definitely stay there again.

What a fantastic place! The rooms, food, and pool were all amazing. We really loved the monkey tour and hiking trails too. Hope to be back sometime ! The staff was so friendly and accommodating. They went out of their way to make us feel comfortable.

We are a family of five who visited Guatemala's Las Lagunas resort for my 50th birthday. Upon arrival, Elmer made sure that we felt welcome and accommodated all of our needs! Whether it was catering to our food allergies, recommending places to visit, or sharing his local knowledge, Elmer was the magic behind our stay and he was truly the heart of our trip. You should visit Las Lagunas not only for the natural beauty but also for the warm hospitality, and please tell Elmer that the Mendoza family says hello from CA!

Just a gorgeous property that is so well run. The staff were so attentive to our needs and helpful in arranging transportation from the airport and a tour to Tikal (we really enjoyed our guide, Daniel!). We arrived extremely early after an early flight from GC and the staff went out of the way to allow us to check in earlier because of our exhaustion. They really went the extra mile for us. Elmer and the dining staff were so friendly and the food was delicious each night and morning. Thank you all!

Las Lagunas Boutique Hotel, was simply the best experience I've had in a boutique resort hotel. The experience starts with the flight into Flores, and the pick up by Byron in his vehicle for the short ride to the resort. The resort know you are coming; your frozen hibiscus drinks are ready for you, the comfy check in area is ready with pen and paper.... keys are there. The bags were already in the adjoining rooms we had booked. The air con was on, the rooms huge and welcoming. L'Occitane products await in the bathroom. Each bungalow/cabin feels very private, and is connected to the main building / dining and pool area by walkways. Your private hot tub is always at temperature, ready for you after a dip in the pool, and the view of the lake at sunrise is the perfect place for using your coffee station and drinking it all in. The staff ALL know your name, and if you ask for something one time (hot chillies for my dinner) it shall appear the next night too. The resort itself is so lush and well maintained, and the howler monkeys are the soundtrack du jour.... We spent 3 nights here, and did a trip to Tikal which was amazing. Also the hotel offer a great boat ride around Monkey Island that was great! I will say, after travelling a huge hunk of the world, and staying in lovely places, this one will be the standout for me. And now a shout out to the staff, from Luis at the desk, very responsive to WhatsApp messages, Alex and Elmer in the dining room who made us feel we were their absolute favourite guests (as I'm sure they do to all their guests ) , and the pool and bar staff. Truly an experience.

From the moment we entered this gated area, we knew staying here was an excellent decision. We arrived about an hour early as travel time did not take as long as projected. We volunteered to wait but were informed that our room was ready. Cesar was welcoming, professional and an all around asset to Las Lagunas. I had requested the jacuzzi be warmed up after a long trip, and it was hot and ready to use. The floors were beautiful and the shower was the best shower I’ve ever used!!!! The trails were extensive and a good way to stay active - truly beautiful. The pool looked inviting and the Monkey Island Tour was just as described. Margarita did join us on the boat and we saw two alligators! We also did the Sunrise Tikal tour with the expectation that we probably wouldn’t see a sunrise. We went in with the attitude that it was a Jungle Wake-Up tour and it did not disappoint us. Listening to the birds and monkeys while sitting near the top of Temple IV is a memory that I want my kids to experience! It was well worth the 2:20 am alarm! Now, onto the food …. Wow. Wow. Wow. Absolutely incredible. Their omelette and French Toast were unbelievable. The fresh juice and fruit - I could live here and be happy! We had supper here too and that was just as delicious. Elmer was a tremendous waiter as well as the night waiter (I think his name started with an R). Las Lagunas has upped the bar. There was nothing I didn’t like about it except the fact that we had to leave!

Amazing property and staff. Great service from reception, restaurant and spa. Everyone was so friendly. Enjoyed the boat tour, couple massage and little museum on property. Food was really delicious at the restaurant. We had a wonderful stay and definitely will come back.
