Best vacation we’ve ever had! Special thanks to Apostolis , that guy is a true star of hospitality. He was there for us all the time, almost 24/7, especially at breakfast, making sure we had everything we needed in our room and at reception. He was always available for all our enquiries, day and night. Even when we had a problem with the restaurant, he stepped in, helped us, and sorted everything out perfectly. He is honestly the best Guest Relations Manager I’ve ever seen at any hotel I’ve visited (and I’ve visited quite a few!). The room was okay, although a bit dark, but the friendly staff at breakfast, in the lobby, and at reception really made up for it. The restaurant served quality food, but the service was slightly slow at first. We needed the same level of attention that we received in the other departments, but once we spoke with Apostolis, he made sure everything was resolved. All in all, it was the best holiday we’ve had huge thanks to the amazing team, especially Apostolis!

This is a beautiful resort with a really relaxed feel to it . We loved the contrast of a beautifully relaxed resort just 10 minutes walk to the hustle and bustle of Friskardo . Service was good without being in your face , food and facilities were excellent. We would happily come back here again and again .

This was our second stay at this hotel but this time we felt the room was a little jaded. The views from the balcony are beautiful. Breakfast is okay but should be better given the price of the room. The cooked food was very limited and virtually cold. There was little choice of fresh fruit. We used both pools but sunbeds in the shade were limited and the view from the adults only pool is blocked by buildings. Staff were largely friendly, efficient and helpful. The vast majority of guests when we stayed were Brits. There was only an espresso machine in the room so we asked for a kettle, mugs and teabags. We were told by staff that there was a €1 charge for each tea bags!! Nowhere in the world have we encountered this! It is so penny pinching, especially given the room cost and their claim to be 5*!! We won’t go back!

Great location and great outlook ! The swimming is great infront of the hotel and also at the beach just below the hotel . Walking distance to Fiskardo The rooms are clean and you can park at the resort and catch a golf buggy back up to the main part of the hotel . The food is below average . The staff that holds the hotel together are below average . Unhelpful Attitude especially when trying to book before actual arrival Concierge is non existant Air con in rooms is good Pool is nice Wasps are everywhere and very annoying when trying to eat dinner Strange no one really admits to the island having a wasp invasion that is horrible and can interfere with with enjoyment Breakfast is below average The aspect views and seas are awesome Mixed feelings on this property as it could be run in a more efficient way and would then be a sensational resort. If the food was better we would not have had to go out for food 3 times a day and would have spent more time at the resort

Really lovely hotel - we had a super week here. Staff were very accommodating and super helpful - pool area fabulous and we enjoyed many a cocktail admiring the view room was sea view and very comfy bed and good quality linen. Not huge room and bathroom was 'bijou' being polite although shower had good power and size Do go on the boat trip the hotel offers - we had the best day and were able to meet some of the other guests -we had huge fun! My only criticism is around the fitness aspect of the hotel- this is important to me and I booked the hotel as it described itself as a wellness hotel- there was 1 yoga class and one pilates class the whole week we were there so not very impressed by that and the gym really lets the hotel down. Its very small no a/c on in the morning when I used it and the equipment was poorly maintained and very limited so not befitting a 5 * hotel. I thought breakfast a bit basic too all under the very beady eyes of i assume the owner of the hotel it def didn't make you want to over indulge ! :) Fabolous holiday as Kefalonia is beautiful

From the moment we arrived we were greeted by warm smiling faces , all staff who really cared that we enjoyed our holiday .The location is second to none beautiful views across a blue ocean complementing the well appointed accommodation. Plenty of sun beds and easy access to the local beach and Fiskardo, just a fabulous place to relax and not to forget the first class restaurant staff who helped to make it a special holiday

I love this hotel, the staff are friendly and helpful and the location is stunning. However…a small moan. When I’m paying £400.00 a night for the room and I’m told it has a Nespresso machine I really don’t expect to pay for any more pods after the 4 ‘complimentary’ ones. Seriously this is penny pinching….if I stay in a pub in the uk at a quarter of the price I get tea and coffee facilities in the room! Surely a few coffee pods can be absorbed into the cost of the room!

June is a perfect month to visit Kephalonia and to stay at the best location and hotel on the island - The Emelisse hotel. The views are unbelievable, especially from the breakfast balconies, and the service is friendly and helpful. There is an adults only pool as the main pool can get noisy with kids. I had the best deep tissue massage I have ever had with Clare in the spa! There are lots of food and snack choices all day long and you are near four beaches within walking distance. I thoroughly recommend this hotel!
