Snow Valley Lodging

We are a couple travelling by motorcycle and our stay at Snow Valley Lodging was one of our best experience on our 2 week trip in BC. From checking in with a friendly and personalized experience to free use of Tandom bike (and regular bikes), this motel deserves a great rating. Rooms were renovated with modern furniture, very comfortable bed, and extremely clean. The staff were very responsive to our requests and were more than happy to offer recommendations to visit Fernie. HIghly recommend touring Fernie by bicycle as it is a beautiful town surrounded by bike paths throughout. Thank you for a great stay at an outstanding motel very well located to walk anyware.

A nice property just off the main road and close to dining and walking trails along the river. Our room was well appointed and had a comfortable bed. There was a small table with two chairs for dining. The room only had a fridge and a microwave. The biggest drawback was the noise from the room upstairs. The guest in the room upstairs moved around until 11:30 pm and started again at 5:30 am. We heard every movement they made.

My daughter and I stayed here for one night. It's right in town where we needed to be. The room was really clean and had all we needed. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating and helped us with anything we needed or wanted to know. We could park our car right in front of our room which was handy. The bathroom was super clean, fresh and modern. We still needed heat at night and it worked well. The beds were super comfortable, mattress and pillows. We both had a really solid sleep after a long drive! It was also very quiet, considering it's along the main road through town. We were happy that there was no carpet on the floors, and they were spotless! We would definitely come back again!

We were taking our first trip south of the border since before Covid and were driving from Calgary. Picked this hotel based on location (3 hour driving distance from home and only 2 hours to final destination) and the reviews. We left late in the day and arrived around 330pm. Really friendly and easy check in and then round the back to our ground floor room. We had a double queen bed room and both beds were extremely comfy. The room was spotless with good bedding and good tv channels etc. Bathroom had a very deep soaker style tub which we didnt use but it looked very inviting. Nice and quiet overnight stay before moving on in the morning. Its on the main highway through town but rooms are at the back and we didn't hear a thing. Approximately 1 minute drive north of hotel there is a Starbucks, Tim's and Mcdonalds so all your varied coffee requirements are covered! We ate in town at The Brickhouse bar. Excellent flatbread and huge bowl of home cut fries. Staff were very friendly and it was a great dining experience for two tired travellers. Next trip south we will definitely be booking a stay at this hotel.

This hotel is awesome. It truly makes it feel like a home away from home. Fantastic communication with staff, very friendly, great “bang for buck”. Very clean and highly recommend. They have a wicked hot tub and are super happy to help with any of your needs.

Horrible Horrible reservation experience and customer service. Beware you might book a room and be confirmed and show up and have them tell you have NO room. 💣 We were travelling through the mountains and booked room through *********** . After received confirmation email We called the hotel to confirm booking before losing the phone signal which was confirmed with front desk, because had a young child and was a busy weekend. After we finished biking and dinner at 9pm and we drove to the hotel with my family ready to check in, the front desk lady told us our booking got canceled!!!!!???? Front Desk then stated that they emailed us to confirm the Credit card on the file which have already put in when we booked the room, we never received the email from her as we were out of service in the mountains. We had no idea….👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼 After confirming our reservation on the phone it made no sense that our reservation was cancelled. Especially with all the approvals through texting email message. Then the front desk staff told us there was a walking person who likes our room just hr before we arrived , and the owner sold the room to him😡😡😡😡? The owner had received our booking , spoke with us after the booking . She had our phone number , but she decided to take action to cancel our room and email us to communicate. Front desk girl felt bad and wanted to help for the situation then went and phoned the owner I’m guessing to see about a room that might be available but not only she didn’t help us, but also ordered us to leave her property. At this point with no where to with a 5yr old, we have no where to go or sleep as all the hotels were booked and sold out or we would have just left and found another hotel at resorts who wanted our business. And ironically other hotel staff told us they have heard similar things about this owner. Waited until the last part, when we got back called her for a conversation and explanation and she hanged up on us multiple times without even a apology. We have never ever ever experienced anything like this before.😡😡😡 I don’t really understand where other good reviews come from, but this is true experience we had with them. The place actually looks nice from all photos but the questions is : Are you going to check your emails throughout the traveling after booked the room ??? There is risks that the owner will cancel your room😬👎🏼

Simple, clean accommodation in a good location. The staff were very helpful. The hot tub is great to soak in after the days activities. The only downside was the fridge was too small for even one person to keep breakfast and lunch provisions cool.
