You can walk to nearby shops. If you drive, you will arrive too early. Fortunately, you can check in at noon. There is coffee and tea provided, and the breakfast is also OK.

Really enjoyed our stay at Park Place Lodge. An affordable stay that is clean, comfortable and did exactly what we needed it to as a stopping point on our trip: left us feeling refreshed, looked after, fed and ready to go the next day. Rooms are very spacious and clean and our balcony was large with a lovely view of the surrounding mountains. The interior of the hotel brings it's own charm with an indoor pool and hot tub area lit up by ornate chandeliers - an unusual, but charming and welcoming touch. A busy road passes the front of the hotel but did not disturb us during the night. The lodge is ideally located right next to Highway 3 so it is easy to hop on and off as part of your trip. Petrol stations and shops are close by and the historic downtown area of Fernie is only a short walk away. Everything you need is on your doorstep. Thanks for a great stay.

I often hesitate when I see green carpets at a hotel, as typically they’re old and crusty. We arrived to find the hotel (including the green carpets) to be in fabulously maintained order! The rooms were generously sized, ours with a large deck that looked out to the Three Sisters. The entire hotel was kept extremely clean as well, and the housekeeping staff were friendly. They offered a bagged breakfast that included a fresh muffin, which was a nice touch. It was quiet during our stay, but I’d love to see the facilities bustling during the winter season. Overall our visit to Fernie was made better by the top notch stay with the folks at Park Place Lodge!

Had a great stay at Park Place. The staff were all great, check in was easy and fast. Rooms were clean and the beds were super comfortable. We had breakfast included by booking direct with the hotel and Tania our sever was great each morning. We used the hot tub one night and it was great after a day of skiing. There was some noise from the pool area on the Saturday night, but it didn't bother us. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Great hotel on the main road through town. It has a wonderful free breakfast, many items are made from scratch which is rare. The bar on site has good food and service as well. Truly a one stop shop! All the staff were friendly and helpful. Great beds and pillows. If you are driving through Fernie and need a place to stay, this is the one!

Had a great experience at PPL. Have stayed here many times with kids and was nice to come home! King suite was perfect. Great bed, bathroom, kitchen, TV, bathrobes, slippers, hair dryer and quiet! Breakfast included was generous and service served with a smile from Tanya.

Due to the pool being in the middle of the hotel, if it's peak season, it might get a bit noisy in there. To avoid, get a room on the 3rd floor. They are completely separate and enclosed from the main / pool area. The AC units are also really annoying. Ours kicked in / out every 5min and has little flaps that close, so it wasn't exactly quiet, so bring ear plugs. That being said, the hotel was great, next to a park if you have kids (also where the farmers market is), and the free breakfast buffet was great. We had one ok server and one absolutely fantastic server.

First class hotel, unusual place as the large swimming pool is in the middle of the ground floor as you walk in to you rooms, convenient for a swim. Excellent rooms clean and comfortable friendly service, comfortable seating outside your ground floor rooms to have a drink or chat with friends or visit the pub adjacent with food and plenty of choice of drinks. Parking on site, lift to all floors although I recommend ground floor if you are a swimmer? or a hot tub addict.

Stayed at Park Place Lodge for three nights. Rooms are big and spacious. Close to restaurants and local town. Was able to have late check out, did not have to pay for. Staff on front desk are excellent. Recommended, booking rooms rear of accommodation. Will be quieter than front of property.
