Family friendly Hotels in Reunion

This airy, modern, elegant hotel has been operational since October 2022. It is fresh. The rooms are comfortably sized and accessible. The view out of the window is alone worth thousands of dollars. Salazie is beautiful; the scenic route to get here is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The reception is accessible. The rooms were available as promised. The formalities are as usual. English is spoken, and the attitude is warmly humorous. The first dinner was 'problematic' due to a lack of personnel (Easter Holiday). The wait was too long. This was an isolated incident. Questions of taste –we saw some customers return their portions to the kitchen. The chef has an excellent reputation, but he had his day off. Our rooms had no Wi-Fi or Netflix due to a network problem. I used my cellular connection with my laptop. BBC world service is available on TV. The bathtub is murderously slippery. Be careful; the statistics are grim. Safe box +, coffee machine +, water cooker +, hairdryer +. To sum it up: This hotel has a lot going for it: The ambiance is warm, everything is clean, and there is a lot of effort to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Would I come here again? Yes, I would.

Wonderful experience at these hotel ! The staff is very professional and helpful/kind/nice. The facilities are just amazing. The pool is very nice and clean, the deck alouds you to acces the beach right away (and do some snorkeling, there is plenty of fish to see), and the rooms are just cozy and functional. I just loved it! I got to see Wales from my balcony every day... that's just priceless. The market on Saturday morning is just a few feet away (and It's a Must !). I strongly recommend this hotel ! Look forward to come back!

Les plus :Le site, en face de l'océan, est impressionnant et très beau, c'est le grand atout de l'hôtel. La literie confortable. Le petit déjeuner. Le caractère serviable et sympathique de toute l'équipe. Les moins : Hôtel excentré dans une commune tristounette (Gros Bois), il faut reprendre la voiture pour dîner à l'extérieur. Chambre standard petite et assez mal agencée (rien pour poser les valises, mais un petit salon sombre qui ne sert à rien, lit en face de la baie vitrée donnant sur un chemin où passent les gens). Parking hors de l'hôtel, qui serait gardienné la nuit. La porte à code donnant sur ce parking, en fait le bout d'une impasse, est constamment ouverte, ce qui n'est pas très rassurant. Petite piscine, nous avons eu l'impression que la majorité des gens qui s'y trouvaient ne dormait pas à l'hôtel. Le restaurant ne nous a pas convaincu, tant au niveau du service (serveur visiblement en stage!) que du goût. En résumé, l'hôtel convenait pour quelques nuits, mais je n'y passerais pas mes vacances

Lindsey hotel was Great. The room was very clean and modern and we had a great balcony to enjoy our evening wine. Location was also perfect for us. Very quiet, yet walking distance to all the restaurants. Staff was superb. We realized we left some things in our St Denis Hotel. They offered to go get them for us. We did it ourselves, but how awesome! I’d love to come back

We had a casual meeting at the bar with a group of local and foreign friends. From the security at the gate via the front desk to our meeting place, the bar, the personal, professional and proactive service of the staff was remarkable. First time in Réunion island I see a security guard come out of his booth, greet the client AND, this is the exceptional part, offer to guide a new client / visitor to where he wishes to go. Super pleasant without being pretentious at all. Before even reaching the front desk a member of the staff, occupied with a group of clients, greeted with a smile and asked if everything was OK/ if any help was needed. He confirmed I was at the right place and returned to his group of clients. Fluently and appropriately done as he most politely excused the people he was with. On to the front desk, where another pleasant smile greeted me, not hiding behind the computer screen pretending to be busy at all. Equally helpful as the others. Marie at the bar came to take our order at a perfect time, she handled our multilingual group with ease and had that genuine personable quality needed in customer service. She suggested a little improvement to my order, which didn't cost anything, just something a client would not know to ask. Stellar service by her from start to end. A little detail I greatly appreciated was that the juice I ordered was freshly squeezed and not pasteurised juice from a can. On a tropical island juice from a supermarket doesn't sit well with 5 stars. The staff truly portrayed what is loveable, beautiful and charming about Réunion island and France. Each member of the staff we came to contact with today was proactive, fast and genuine. They visibly took pleasure and pride in making sure we were all well taken care of. That's a quality one either has or doesn't have. If it is not within, no training can bring it out. Obviously training shows in how the actual tasks are performed.
