We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights, and we even had dinner at the hotel's 2-star Michelin restaurant on one of the nights. The room facilities are of a higher standard than those of chain hotels. I suggest you not to eat breakfast because it only has bread, and the variety is the least and the quality is the most ordinary among all the luxury hotels I've been to. As for the 2-star Michelin restaurant, you can give it a try if you want to experience it and take photos. As for the taste, I suggest you don't expect too much. The soft service I care about most is hygiene. It's scary. The bathroom sink is not wiped, and they basically re-laid the wool machine. Even the door can be closed. We booked this hotel primarily so that we could rendezvous with close family from the USA who were staying nearby. It turned out we were in for a treat. The hotel is perched atop a hill overlooking the med. In fact it is part of a medieval village and in some places tourists throng the alleyways between sections of the hotel. This can be annoying at times but most of the property is exclusive to guests. It’s important to be aware that there are steep steps everywhere. We counted 194 steps up from the infinity pool to our room! At 35 degrees Celsius this was a challenge. We were upgraded from a junior suite to an executive suite. The room was spacious and extremely comfortable. A full length mirror would have been appreciated as is usually standard in hotel rooms and the air conditioning unit failed to cool the sitting area but the sleeping area was very comfortable and the bathroom well appointed with L’Occitaine products. Breakfast in the terrace was excellent as was the meal we had in Les Remparts. We also dined at the 2 Michelin star restaurant which deserves its own review but suffice to say we have dined in many places with the same rating all over the world and both the food and the service compared favourably with the best of them. All staff in the hotel were super efficient friendly and professional. Highly recommend but only if you have no mobility issues. We hope to return in a cooler month sometime soon.

It was our third stay throughout the last couple of years and definitely not the last one. The consistency of the great service combined with the stunning views and amazing food experiences makes it one of our favourite places in South of France. This year we held our wedding ceremony in Chèvre D’or, we were arriving just a day before the celebration, and having no wedding planner got us slightly worried about the organization process. But we were lucky to have Celine and Pauline taking care of the entire event, making everything happen even before we actually thought about it! Immaculate coordination, super friendly approach and guidance made us enjoy this day at its best. Our guests still keep talking about the warm welcome and helpfulness of the reception team, and the unforgettable breakfast with its breathtaking view and the mouthwatering pastries. We would also like to highlight the family-like hospitality extended to us and our guests by the General Manager, Thierry. Throughout these couple of days we all felt like we were at home.
