Lovely place to stay! This was our third time here and was just as relaxing as always! It was even nicer with weather being a bit warmer too. Lodge was lovely and warm when we arrived. Everything we needed and when I made Debbie aware of the broken kettle she replaced it within 5 mins! Debbie was as welcoming as always and made sure we were happy all week. The beds were comfortable and we love the duvet! Hot tub was great and again set at 40 degrees when we arrived! This was used at least twice a day! The fishing lake was good again and my husband enjoyed his fishing, catching a variety of fish. This was the relaxing holiday we both needed after the last few months and really helped recharge our batteries! It is remote but we like this. There is a single track lane to access property but drive slowly and you’re fine. WIFI is fine in bedroom and I managed to keep up with football scores! Booked again next year and cannot wait

My partner & I, along with my elderly Mother have just spent a really relaxing, peaceful, comfortable 4 nights in lodge 1 nearest to the lake! We loved the quiet (no traffic noise 🤩) except for ducks quacking, the guinea fowl cackling and cows mooing which is expected for the countryside and very therapeutic! I was particularly pleased to see the kingfisher on a couple of occasions. The lodge is not new but it’s spacious, comfortable and well equipped. I can appreciate these lodges may not suit everyone due to their location and lack of facilities but for us it was just fine and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Debbie is a friendly, helpful, responsive host - thank you 😊

Pros : Peaceful. Scenic location. Wildlife. Hot tub was great. Recycling bins. Cons: Cleanliness was awful, large cobwebs. Limescale, dust everywhere, un hoovered floors, dirty crockery that I had to wash before use, dirty windows. Just aswell not advertise WiFi as it does not stay connected more than 10 seconds and you need to stand outside for it. Though we enjoyed our stay to the area I would not stay here again. I feel if customers are paying good money then a property should at least be cleaned properly. Felt like the hosts heart was not in it which is a shame as could be wonderful.

Second time here and was even better than last time if that is possible! Lake has been cleaned out which was an added bonus! Owners were helpful as always and checked we were ok when we arrived The hot tub was again set at 40 degrees so could go straight in. Bed was comfy and the lodge clean and tidy! Wi-Fi was better in the bedroom this year! Thank you again for a lovely week and we’ll see you next year

Lovely lodge, but not enough towels. Very narrow road to get to the place full of pot holes and more a dirt track to be honest. Don't come from Chudleigh direction as it's a nightmare. Not signposted very well and could do with better sign outside so you know you've arrived. Then it tells you to go to farmhouse to get the key but there are no signs to know which house it is. We spent 15 minutes knocking on doors and trying to find someone and finally an elderly lady appeared and said she'd not seen us pull up. She showed us to the lodge and asked what we'd come to do and we replied we wanted to go for walks in the countryside but she told us there weren't any and that her daughter was away so she was left in charge. She was rather rude to another couple who arrived the following day and had the same problem as us in that they couldn't see signs where to go or find anyone. On the plus side it's very peaceful but as we'd hoped to walk places it was a little disappointing. The lodge is not as high spec as others we've stayed in and a bit tired looking.

Excellent. Totally clear skies at night - not even a telegraph line to obscure the view. Do not book expecting somewhere to bring small children to be entertained. This is not a holiday park and for this reason it is PERFECT. This is not Butlins - there is no play area, bouncy castle, trampolines or other such frivolities. It is quiet, green, countryside and the ideal reset button for frazzled, burnout grownups. Ideal for quiet, relaxing adult time. No noise aside from wildlife and bubbling of private hot tub. No interruption or bothersome traffic. Comfortable lodges with everything you need to unwind and unplug. Will absolutely be back. 10/10. Only additional thing that could improve it to my mind would be a resident spare dog or cat for company and night time snuggles. Ah well - can't have everything!

Was a lovely place to spend Christmas, was met by the owners who gave us a brief run down. They also left a bottle of wine plus 2 selection packs for the kids which was a lovely touch. The place clean, the beds were amazingly comfy and we had crystal clear nights in the hot tub. I would recommend lodge 3 hot tub is at the back out of view from the others, only downside was the WiFi coverage wasn't great BUT if you're going to a place like this then you don't really need it. Highly, highly recommend kingsford lodges and looking at coming back again next year. Thank you

Booked for an anniversary break we like a lodge with a hot tub and this one didn't disappoint. Clean and fresh looking with all the mod cons that you could need. Dishwasher, fridge freezer, walk in shower, central heating and spotless. The bedrooms were spacious and fitted with several pillows and a thick modern duvet. the heating was on when we arrived and the owner came to welcome us. She advised us about the heating, the temperature of the hot tub (40 degrees), recycling bins and the wifi (it was a bit patchy but who cares when you are away for a break). It was tranquil and very private which made it very relaxing.
