The hotel is in a central location, roughly a 5-minute walk to the main attractions. It also has private parking. The staff was very professional and really helpful when needed. The hotel has many places for relaxing, both outside and inside. Air conditioning is available in the rooms and in the common areas. Considering that the outside temperature was 38°C in the shade, this was definitely a plus. Outside, you can enjoy the swimming pool and plenty of shade. For kids, there is a small pool, less deep, with warmer water and some shade. The kids also appreciated a dedicated area for them, with many toys (including LEGO) and books. The room was clean and recently renovated, including all the amenities you usually expect (TV, Wifi, Safe, ..) Also, the hotel provides a bar in the lobby, and a private restaurant. The breakfast was very good, featuring a great variety of dishes, including fresh fruits, pastries. Note that the hotel was under heavy renovation, therefore some areas were a little bit noisy.

Our family of four with two kids just spent one night in this hotel and unfortunately must express our disattisfaction for the service received from the hotel staff. Tbe Hotel itself, despite being quite old styled and requiring extra maintenance to fix some visible damages to both interior and exterior, offers some good amenities and services. The strenghts are definitely the pool area, the room which was extremely comfortable, spacious and recently renovated and lastly also some of the public areas are also pleasant. However our experience has been totally negatively affected by the service offered by the front office and f&b staff. Indeed we were told the restaurant was fully booked and there was no way to accomodate our simple request to arrange a table by the bar allowing us to order from the restaurant menu. The staff approach was very rigid and offered a very bad guest experience. The only viable option was to eat by the bar with the limited bar menu and with no lighting so practically we had to dine in the dark with our two 4/7 kids. Last but not least at the and of the dinner the waiter told us there was a big rat hanging around the hotel outdoor area.. We will definitely discourage anyone willing to select this hotel..

Ottima soluzione all’interno delle mura di Evora che è una incantevole cittadina. L’hotel ha un ingresso/reception piacevole, la camera era ampia con un bel bagno. L’hotel ha anche dei bei spazi esterni con giardino e piscina. Ho visto che hanno anche un mini club. Abbiamo usufruito della mezza pensione e siamo stati soddisfati sia del cibo che del servizio. C’è un parcheggio esterno comodo

Péssima experiência. Não sei como este hotel se classifica com 4 estrelas. No primeiro dia coloquei o letreiro para me limparem o quarto e chegou à hora de jantar e nada. O serviço de jantar também deixa muito a desejar

Très bel hôtel proche du centre d’evora Très belle piscine avec des transats équipés de matelas (les plus prisés ) et des transats standard Petit déjeuner très bon avec une petite terrasse intérieure disponible Le cadre de l’hôtel est très apaisant avec une très belle décoration cosy Les chambres ont été refaites à neuf et sont spacieuses et propres , une bouteille d’eau est mise à disposition chaque jour ainsi que des capsules de café Une partie de l’hôtel est en travaux de rénovation en ce moment mais ce n’est absolument pas gênant Accueil et services parfait À recommander , on y était vraiment trop bien

Disappointing Stay — Not Worth the 4-Star Rating We recently stayed at M’AR De AR Muralhas and were very underwhelmed. While the hotel’s location inside the city walls is convenient and the restaurant served a surprisingly good dinner, that’s unfortunately where the positives end. The service throughout our stay was slow, unhelpful, and at times, outright rude. Staff were largely inaccessible and unwelcoming—no one greeted us, offered assistance, or even acknowledged us during basic interactions. At one point, the lights in the main common area were turned off while we were still sitting there, which felt incredibly dismissive. Our room was dated and poorly maintained. We found broken glass under the bed, dirty glasses were left behind after the room was “cleaned,” and the bedroom terrace, which is marketed as a perk, was unusable—covered in bird droppings, with no cushions or attempt at cleanliness. The beds were uncomfortable and not what you’d expect at this price point. This hotel is simply not deserving of its 4-star rating. For the cost, guests should expect at least a baseline of comfort, cleanliness, and courteous service—none of which were delivered. I would not recommend staying here until significant improvements are made. Rating: 2/5
