Came for two nights to celebrate our 48th wedding anniversary. Reserved an executive room that didn’t match the website description. It had a view of a fountain as described. But it faced the main road and the view was obstructed on one side by a wing of the hotel and on the other by a car park. The WiFi worked in the lounge but was slow and patchy. It didn’t work in our room, either with an android or an ios phone. We had made reservations by phone for dinner on the first evening and breakfast both mornings. They didn’t have our dinner reservation. So, after a wait, we ended up at a small table in a poky corner. When I complained, the server replied that if I didn’t like it, she would give the table to another customer. Also, they had our breakfast reservations for 9am, instead of 8am as requested. I raised these issues at reception the first night. The receptionist listened to my complaints and asked me if I wanted to talk to a manager. I asked her to bring them to the manager’s attention. I don’t know if she did.

Well what can I say? The whole experience from start to finish was a disaster. Booked online for an executive deluxe room with a lake view for 3 nights on the reccomendation of a family member. Turned out the room was 2 flights of stairs up and it had a shower over the bath. As my husband has limited mobility we had to contact the hotel beforehand and the lady who took the call relocated us to a ground floor room which was several pounds cheaper. However when we were given the room we found it was located in the newer part of the hotel and was really far away from reception/ bar/dinning areas. More like a 3 day camel hike, as my husband has difficulty walking it really wasn’t suitable. I went back to reception to ask if the had an accessible room nearer and was told no they only had 2 accessible rooms and both were occupied. But they did offer to move us 2 rooms up the corridor, not good. We decided to make the best we could and stayed in the room allocated. We had prebooked to eat in the Bistro which turned out to be another problem it was in a cellar and was 2 flights of stairs down to it and as my husband can’t do stairs we were told we could eat in the conservatory which turned out to be disappointing as well. My meal was not great I chose Chowder and it came with mostly potato and pieces of salmon and very few prawns or scallops. Breakfast again was awful, choose off a menus. 3 off the continental which included your toast, and 1 off the main. I choose the full Irish!( see photo) terrible scrambled egg swimming in water, potato and soda soaked bacon looked raw and had had a heated argument with the chef. The other 2 mornings we opted for tea and toast. Overall the staff were lovely and did apologise but really were unable to sort out our problem. What can I say positive about the Manor House Hotel? It’s a lovely hotel and the staff are nice but not if you have a disability or have limited mobility, they need to up their game and get in line with the Disability Discrimination Act 1998 and make reasonable adjustment to facilitate and include those with disabilities. Conclusion: We will not be back nor will I recommend.

A beautiful Hotel with stunning grounds in a lovely area. The staff, especially the Receptionists are what made our stay extra special, they went above and beyond to help make it a perfect 50th celebration for my friend. The Restaurant views made dinner that bit more special overlooking the sea and the food and service was excellent and efficient. Breakfast was one of the best I have ever had, the selection is fantastic and again the service was first class. I would highly recommend a stay, the only down side is the drinks are very expensive, but I know that is the same everywhere.

Hotel looks lovely from outside. Check-in was slow. Room was only superficially clean, and had two faulty bulbs, Ordered tea and sandwiches for lunch in the bar, took around 40 minutes to arrive, poor quality and presentation. Evening meal was little better, service was slow, food average, had to leave the room in search of waiting staff to ask for a steak knife. Similar story when I wanted a bill. Surprisingly one member of staff found the time to remove the cap I had just screwed back on the bottle of wine, telling me it "needed to breathe". Breakfast staff were pleasant and efficient, food was good. Overall I would not recommend this hotel, it needs a bit of a shake-up.

This hotel is fabulous. We have been staying here from the 1980s. Has evolved over the years and still remains as wonderful as ever. Staff, cleanliness, delicious freshly cooked food and not excluding the refurbishment and the well kept grounds and golf course. There was a wedding when we stayed and many families with young children having a great time. Not a noise or problem with the multi generations. Plenty of seating areas outside as the weather was fantastic. Bedroom and bathroom was spotless. Fluffy towels bathrobes even a TV in the bathroom. There was a very efficient fan in the bedroom which was needed and the blackout curtains were blackout. Parking on site no problem. We will be back again and totally recommend this hotel.

I really liked this stay with a few exceptions. The hotel is very elegant and classy and the rooms are large well appointed. The service and especially the food are outstanding both breakfast and dinner. The one issue i had was the AC is was very weak and we stayed on a hot weekend and the room would not cool down. It's a shame as this is excellent place ,perhaps they need to update the AC system. I wouls.still recomend it for a relaxing base to visit the area.

We had our wedding at the Manor House Hotel and it was nothing short of perfect from start to finish. The venue itself is stunning, with a beautiful mix of charm and elegance – but what truly made the experience unforgettable was the incredible team, especially our wedding coordinator, Una. Una was an absolute dream to work with. From our very first meeting, she made us feel so supported, listened to, and genuinely excited about the whole process. She has the most calming presence and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. She went above and beyond in ways she’ll never even know – quietly solving problems before we even realised there were any, and making sure every little detail was just right. Thanks to Una and the amazing staff at the Manor House, our day ran seamlessly, and we were able to relax and soak up every special moment. We honestly couldn’t have wished for more. If you’re considering the Manor House Hotel for your wedding – do it! And if you’re lucky enough to work with Una, you’re in the best possible hands. 💕✨

We just had our wedding here on Sunday and I couldn’t recommend the hotel enough. Una our wedding planner was fantastic, she couldn’t do enough for us and even my very kids loved her. Every detail turned out perfect and we had a day 2 and used the hotels boat and again amazing. The staff are so lovely and couldn’t do enough for us & all the guests. Thank you so much for the most amazing few days.
