Cleopatra Beach

What a great find! I’m so happy we stayed here after a week of sailing. This hotel was perfect in every way, quiet,stunning views of the bay. The sun loungers were comfy and the bean bags were insanely comfy! The pool was lovely and warm, the staff were all super friendly and accommodating. I loved the choice at breakfast, esp the choice of nuts, dates and fruit. There was ample choice of local Greek tavernas just a 10 min walk away, do bring a torch for the walk home. The gym was okay, although there’s no mat to stretch on. The bed was so comfy. The beach is a 20min walk away but worth it if you like. Theres no local shops or supermarkets so a taxi costing 10E each way is needed so stock up, although they have a bar which sell simple snacks for lunch and beers and drinks. This is the perfect place a great couples escape.

We experienced a lovely warm welcome with Kelly, the information given was excellent. Room was superb especially clean with the best bedding so a good nights sleep was a given. The steps were a trial and higher handrails would be a benefit 😀

Lovely quaint peaceful hotel away from hustle and bustle of main Lefkada Island. It's tranquil and calm, a lovely garden and pool area with plenty of shade. The hotel beds were the best we experienced in our 2 week holiday, so very comfortable :-) which was heaven after so many nights on hard uncomfortable beds. We only stopped for 1 night but we enjoyed it immensely. Yes there are 2 or 3 flights of steps down and with cases could prove a bit difficult but then all over Lefkada all places have many steps so this did not bother us at all. The staff were very friendly and helpful and breakfast was really lovely, hot and cold buffet. All in all a truly lovely small hotel, perfect for couples or those looking for a quieter hotel with great value and cleanliness. Thank you all for our wonderful 24hr stay.

Would definitely stay at The Cleopatra Beach Hotel again. Friendly staff, really helpful. Hotel very clean. Only stayed one night, would of liked to stay longer. Swimming pool was lovely, really clean. Beautiful view, stunning setting.

We've just returned to the UK after a lovely week spent at the Cleopatra Beach Hotel in Geni. We had a thoroughly relaxing time. 28 or 29 degrees every day, 14 - 21 September. For us, there was nothing to fault the hotel for. A very attractive establishment, the location on the waterfront was simply stunning. Our room was very comfortable and was cleaned thoroughly on a daily basis. It had a fabulous view overlooking the pool, with the sea and the mountains in the background. Simply lovely. The grounds were very well kept and the pool was excellent. The inclusive breakfasts provided a great range of choice. Poolside snacks and drinks were served throughout the day too, and bottles of water could be purchased from the hotel too, which was handy as there were no shops nearby. The hotel staff could not have been more helpful. There were no more than 20 to 30 guests at any one time, a slightly older crowd, couples, mainly Dutch, German/Austrian, and Scandinavian from what we could see, with a Romanian couple there too. We were the only British people, though English and Greek were the languages used at the hotel. The local Desimi Beach was about 15-20 min walk away. Lovely location, beautiful pebble beach with clear water and trees growing along it for extra shade. As it was mid-September it was not too busy, which we really appreciated. It has a few tavernas and the Kantina beachside cafe that we particularly liked. A lovely woman runs that. In the small hamlet of Geni, a 15-minute walk or so from the hotel, there are three or four tavernas serving excellent food. Lots of cats everywhere! Our favourite place was the Taverna Dimitris positioned in a spectacular setting overlooking the sea. A very friendly family-run eatery, 3 generations. Excellent food...we especially loved the grilled sardines and the orange cake with vanilla ice cream, which was to die for! We went back there time and time again. We did not rent a car as we were happy just to relax, chill, and soak up the local atmosphere, but we would recommend that you hire one if you wanted to explore the island in more depth. There are no buses running locally. The very bustling and touristy town of Nydri was a 10 min taxi ride away (10 euros each way) We paid 60 euros each way for a taxi from the airport to the hotel, 45 mins away. We did do an island boat trip, which was good. It took us to some of the spectacular beaches on the west coast and over to Fiskardo on nearby Kefalona too, which was a great place to hang out for a few hours. If you are after a wild time this place is really not for you, but if you want peace and relaxation and value for money then it is a wonderful place to spend a few days.

Beautiful hotel so peaceful and quiet in a tranquil setting . We went in August and the most round the pool in one day was 6 people ! It was very relaxing . 4 Amazing Greek tavernas about a 15 min walk away. Desimi beach 20 min walk or the bustling town on Nidri a 15 min taxi which cost €10. A lot of people rented a car because of location but we didn’t and still got about. Hotel was spotless and clean , staff were amazing so friendly and helpful. Only thing was no tea/coffee facilities in the room but throat was the only downside. Pool was massive and had it to ourselves most days. Would highly recommend this hotel for a peaceful break.
