A friendly Petra welcomed us upon arrival and made us feel at home instantly. Dinner was exquisite and an absolute MUST! Beautiful and tranquil environment. Although it can get hot we were blessed to arrive after great rain thus everything was fresh and delightful. An absolute 'yes and thumbs up stay over' before heading to your next destination!

Le Weltewreden Lodge est probablement le meilleur accueil que nous ayons rencontré en Afrique du Sud lors de notre périple de 3 semaines. L'endroit est magique et les propriétaires sont adorables et fort sympathiques. La qualité des lodges est remarquable et d'une propreté impeccable. De plus, la décoration a été réalisée avec goût, intégrant un ameublement de qualité. Le séjour du Nouvel An a été complété par un succulent repas de réveillon préparé entièrement par Petra. Nous avons également pu visiter l'atelier d'antiquités de Pieter qui recèle de nombreuses pièces rares et insolites. Félicitations et énorme merci à Petra et Pieter pour nous avoir fait découvrir ce joyau ! Toute l'équipe des suisses vous souhaitent une excellent année 2025. en espérant que vous puissiez réaliser votre rêve de future retraite. Super Lage für einen Zwischenstop nach oder von Botswana. Die Eigentümer Petra (spricht auch deutsch) und Pieter sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit in allen Fragen. Abendessen und Frühstück muß man vorher bestellen und ist sehr schmackhaft. Für eine zeitige Abreise in Richtung Grenze gibt es sogar ein Frühstückspaket zum mitnehmen. Die Chalets sind sehr sauber und gepflegt.

Just close to the border between South Africa and Botswana, in the side of South Africa, in a very quiet place. Beautiful garden, the self catering house was spacious, very clean and super comfortable. Tastefully furnished and truly welcoming. The kitchen had everything you needed and was really clean and tidy. We'd loved to stay more. The restaurant it's very welcoming peaceful. The food cooked was delicious. Everything truly perfect.

What a special place. a magnificent rustic stop over close to Botswana border on SA side. Cozy, quiet and lovely private rondawels. Hosts are extremely friendly , welcoming and make this place feel like home away from home! WOW - dinner and breakfast are just at another level ! Highly recommended - thank you for making our stay very special 🫶

We loved our stay at Welteverden Guest Lodge. The room was comfortable and spacious and Petra and her husband went out of their way to cater for our fussy diet - seldom have we had perfectly cooked sole but here it was superb. Breakfast omelette delightfully wholesome and tasty. We had a really good overnight stay on our way to Botswana and would strongly recommend it.

Our second visit to Weltevreden Country Lodge and just as good as the first. Great hosts, outstanding dinner at the end of a long journey, comfy beds, a private verandah / garden area to relax in… just everything you could ask for at the end of a long day on the road.
