Nine Skies

This hotel is literally a dream come true - the staff are all excellent and the food is outrageously good! An amazing part of an amazing Sri Lanka adventure - this place is the most wonderful place to stay! If you get the chance to go here, you must, the peace is next level!

Nine Skies is absolutely wonderful! We had only one regret about our stay there - we should have stayed longer! We are a family of four and stayed in Ella Rock Suite, we had plenty of room and the beds were very comfortable and the room silent. The staff and service was out of this world! We lived like kings.Everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and our children felt immediately at home. We stayed at 5 teardrop hotels (they are all fantastic) and did a Teardrop Journey - which I REALLY recommend. Our journey included many activities. At Nine Skies we did the guided Little Adam's Peak trek, did the ziplining at Ravana, walked to the Nine Arch bridge and went down to Udawalawe national park. These were all carefully curated for families in mind and our kids were incredibly sad to leave. The food (all included!) was fantastic, they catered for the vegetarians in our group very well, adapting the menu and offering to cook different meals if wanted. We loved the Kotto night! In summary, this was one of the best places we have ever been and return tomorrow if we could. Book it!

An amazing stay in an exquisitely run hotel. We couldn’t fault the attention to detail and the attentive way we were looked after. The welcome was very friendly and we were made to feel at ease straightaway. The room was very well appointed and very spacious with a lovely deep bath as well as a shower. The pool area was lovely and immaculate. The food was outstanding with a varied menu. All in all a wonderful place to stay.

My friend and I had the best time at Nine Skies! This hilltop boutique hotel is such a peaceful escape, with stunning views and a super relaxing vibe. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredible—so friendly, attentive, and always making sure we had everything we needed. The food was absolutely delicious, easily some of the best we had in Sri Lanka. Every meal was fresh, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor. We looked forward to every bite! What we loved most was just how calm and quiet it felt—perfect for unwinding and soaking in the beautiful surroundings. If you’re looking for a cozy, luxury stay with top-notch service, Nine Skies is a must-visit. We’d go back in a heartbeat!

There’s little more to add to the wonderful and fully deserved reviews that have gone before. It is a fantastic property, not a hotel but a guest house, in a marvellous location. Although expensive, it is good value, particularly due to the all inclusive; food, drinks, laundry and even the interesting tea estate visit. Combine this with the Amangalla in Galle for a memorable few days!
