Magnolia Resort

It takes them for one steak two hours and apperently only the manager could take orders. My father ordered a fork and he only got in 20 minutes. The service is very slow. If they wanna do more money they should do that the waiters could take orders too. I suffered so much while I was there. Very BAD RESTAURANT

Just returned from 2 weeks at the Magnolia Resort. This was our 2nd stay at he hotel. The family and staff are so friendly and helpful, and spotlessly clean. We did think this year it was time to replace some of the sun beds and we had to ask for replacement towels in bathroom because of stains. Some of the paintwork could do with freshening up in some areas. Our biggest disappointment was the so called gym/fitness centre ! It was in the basement had no ventilation or air con. It wasn't well maintained and was full of flies and mosquitoes ! I stayed less than 5 minutes and got bitten in 4 places. My partner mentioned this to owner and was told they're everywhere, what can you do ! ( Ventilate/spray etc.) As others have mentioned breakfast is basic, new coffee machine is slow for so many guest, previous cafeteries were more sensible. Overall a lovely holiday, peaceful and beautiful setting.

Just had a week in Katelios staying at the Magnolia hotel, I absolutely loved it, the hotel is just beautiful! About 50mins away from the airport and stunning scenery! Everywhere is spotlessly clean (even the poolside loos sparkled!) rooms are cleaned daily and towels and bedding changed weekly, the air con in bedrooms is great, very quiet! (and no additional charge which is often the case in Greece) there is no air con in other areas of the hotel but that really didn’t bother me! Wi-Fi also really good in all areas. Rooms are large and spacious with everything you need! Shower cubicles are a bit cosy so larger people might find it difficult to manoeuvre but the pressure/temperature was great and it’s nice to have both options of overhead shower and a hand held one to wash your hair! Also excellent lighting and mirrors in the bathroom which is great for doing your make up! There’s plenty of hanging space, drawers etc! TV (didn’t use it but some like to, not sure if UK channels) safe, fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, toiletries, ironing board (collect iron from reception if required), beds are proper double beds and really comfy! (I prefer a firmer mattress and slept like a baby!) this was aided by electronic blackout shutters which come down over the patio doors to keep the early sunlight out! There’s a small veranda (I was ground floor) or balcony for higher floors with table and chairs and a washing line/pegs to dry your swimwear etc, all rooms face outwards so they all have Mountain/street views which is really nice and peaceful. The pool area is wonderful, super clean with a huge pool and lots of good quality comfy sun-beds and plenty of parasols for shade. Also great access to the pool for those that might not be as mobile, there are lower steps to walk into the water, in fact the whole hotel has fabulous access with ramps as well as steps, (great for wheeling heavy suitcases!) there was a wheelchair user who was able to be fully inclusive and access all areas which was lovely to observe! Yes some guests did get up early to put towels on beds (which is annoying for some and totally unnecessary as there are plenty!) but they didn’t then disappear for the day and not use them! All beds were used appropriately and the whole time during my weeks stay there were always free beds available! I often swapped sides of the pool to chase the sun! Huge fluffy Pool towels are given for the duration of your holiday, you can swap for another one at cost of €5 (which I know some people have complained about), but I personally didn’t see it as a problem, if I took my own towel I’d use the same one all week! The bar area is also great, opens at 11am , serve snacks and ice creams, nice lunch menu from 1pm with lots of choice, everything I had was reasonably priced, delicious and freshly prepared, happy hour 6.30pm-8.30pm, lots of comfy seating (with shaded areas if you want to get out if the sun) , drinks also brought to pool area if prefe

Just back from a fantastic week at Magnolia Hotel. It was perfect! The staff are caring, diligent and helpful and just nice to chat too! The hotel is spotless and well maintained and in a lovely quiet location, with a nice pool and plenty of sun beds, 10 minute walk to the small beach and restaurants. If you want quiet relaxation this is definitely the place to come to and, like so many other guests, we will be back! Thanks for making a perfect holiday.

Just spent 10 days at the hotel which is in a nice quiet location with a 15 minute walk to the beach and restaurants. Positives are the cleanliness of the hotel and the pool area, sunbeds don’t generally get nabbed until about 7.30 so there’s no immediate rush to get out of bed! Negatives for us were the balconies which were very small, not pool facing and were in direct sunlight from mid afternoon so no chance of a late afternoon/early evening relax with a drink. The room was ok, shower head not great. Breakfast was limited, rotated fried and scrambled eggs each day and one coffee machine which was the slowest I’ve ever encountered leading to daily musings from guests. It’s a nice hotel for the money, but you can see why it’s not a 5 star ⭐
