El Arenal Hotels with Gym

Das whala!fun liegt am Hafen von El Arenal in einer der etwas ruhigeren Straßen. Das Hotelpersonal war durchweg freundlich, zuvorkommend und sprach sogar teilweise deutsch. Die Zimmer sind zwar recht klein, doch stets sauber und freundlich eingerichtet. Unser persönliches Highlight war die Dachterasse, die man Ende September fast ganz für sich alleine hat. Dort kann man prima den ganzen Tag verbringen, kann sich nach Belieben mit kühlen Getränken von der Bar oder einem kleinen Snack verwöhnen lassen. Die großzügigen Liegen und der Pool laden zum Entspannen ein und auch abends kann man dort noch einen Absacker trinken und den Tag gemütlich mit einem Blick auf den schönen Hafen ausklingen lassen. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis konnte uns auch absolut überzeugen. Danke!

My partner and I have just returned to London after a weeks stay in Hotel Costa Mediterraneo. We had a lovely holiday on a budget. One thing we could not fault was the cleanliness. Wherever you went it smelt of nice clean soap and the bed linen/towels were fresh. Check in was quick, we arrived around 2am and had to pay the usual tourism tax, which being a 2 star hotel, it wasn’t very much at all. It obviously has been recently renovated, yes the further you go up the stairs the older the flooring becomes but come on- who goes on holiday to moan about old floors? I really didn’t mind our room, the bed was big and super comfortable, even a third bed which we used as clothes storage! Freshly painted walls and very clean. The wardrobe was nice and new with 10 hangers and there was a safe too but we did not use. The bathroom was basic but we had no problems with water temperature and enjoyed our daily showers. This hotel gave me Travelodge vibes. So, now the things we think could definitely be improved upon to gain more clientele. I really think as a hotel you need to listen to the reviews about noise and come up with a solution. It was the only thing to be honest that made us slightly unhappy with our stay! We had room 408 which was right next to the elevator and it kept me awake most nights… you could hear it going up and down, people’s conversations, and the lift door being smashed against the walls when people open it. Breakfast was raised to 9 euros during our stay, we tried it once, arriving at 9:15am. What was left of the baguette was not enough for two people and didn’t get replenished but the scrambled eggs and bacon did. I don’t think it was worth 9 euros but it was nice to enjoy the “hotel experience” and the food was nice! We thought there was a drainage problem as every morning when we flushed the loo a smell of rotten eggs filled the bathroom for around 30 mins- 1 hour. And lastly, the TV situation! I asked reception if there was any English channels as we couldn’t find any and they said there was 2 or 3 but alas we couldn’t find anything. The TV itself is super small and placed on the wall far away so if you’re blind like me it’s a little tricky!

I am currently on holiday at this hotel. I am not happy with staff in the restaurant so rude! Been here 2 days so far and I have never had an experience like it! You feel like you are being watched there is no welcome at all from anyone! The pool on the roof is so small the picture makes it look big but I am 5 foot and it comes to my waist it’s about 3 by 2 meters! We are half board and at dinner you get no drinks not even water you have to pay! I am disappointed it is not what I was sold at all, hotel needs a facelift. The only good thing is the staff that clean the rooms they are full of smiles and make you feel welcome, reception staff are nice too. Main pool is a good size, If you are all inclusive that does not include the roof top bar do bare that in mind. I WOULD NOT COME AGAIN OR RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE.

This is the 6th or 7th time I have stayed at the hotel. I used to go with a travel agency, now I go by myself. It is enough to agree with the owner of the hotel Jordi - a very nice and caring person. The hotel staff will always provide you with the necessary assistance and information. The hotel is a bit old fashioned but it has its own charm. Food choice is never a problem. Breakfasts are generally repetitive, but dinners are great. Many thanks to the chefs and waitresses. The room is always clean, clean towels every day. Air conditioning, refrigerator, internet in the room. You are paying for the price of a 3* hotel, so don't expect 4-5* hotel services. In general, the hotel is very quiet, few families with loud children travel. Sometimes - a little noisy company of young people, but they mostly come for 2-3 days in the summer holidays. The proximity is full of shops and restaurants, car, motorcycle, bicycle rentals, to the center of Palma 20-30 minutes by bus (No. 23, 25), to the airport 25 minutes by bus A2, to the beach 10-15 minutes on foot. The choice is yours, come and see for yourself.

Dont let bad reviews put you off!!! After reading previous reviews we were apprehensive about going! But we were pleasantly surprised! The hotel itself is really nice, comfy well decorated and reception was really posh! Greeted with a lovely lady member of staff! The room was basic, really nice shower and the balcony was fine. Everything you needed. The only downside was the hairdryer. Definitely take your own. The pool area was lovely and it definitely has the sun hit it! Do not be put off! The sun was there all day! I caught a tan easily and there is a nice bar inside and even it own lifeguard. The breakfast was lovely, everything from pastry to cereal to fruit and fried breakfast and even different types of milk! The spa was definitely a highlight! The massage was incredible. I would definitely recommend this hotel it is so close to the harbour and beach but far enough not to hear noise! The only downside is occasional noise from rooms above but but to be expected . We went for a long weekend and for what we paid I would definitely return!

This place is a party hotel, and if you are put in a room next to the rooftop bar, you’ll get no peace until very early in the morning when they shut the music off. Additionally, I had an issue with the lock on my door. I waited for them to send someone up to fix it, but after a while I gave up Because I wasn’t waiting at the door the repair man didn’t fix the door so when I finally came back, the door still wasn’t fixed this wasted hours of my day. The location of this hotel is really good essentially right on the beach, but there are a lot of other drawbacks that make this place, not ideal
