We stayed at the Hamilton Hotel and were very pleased with everything! The rooms are authentic, you are completely immersed in the safari atmosphere. We appreciated the individual approach to each guest, which is very nice. Delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner. The safari was organized very well, we met almost everyone we wanted to see. Special thanks to the staff.

Leider mussten wir schon vor unserem Aufenthalt eine sehr negative Erfahrung machen. Wir wollten lediglich einen Transport vorab über das Hotel buchen, dies stellte sich jedoch als so kompliziert dar, da wir erst bei völlig falschem Namen genannt wurden, dann sämtliche Rechnungen falsch waren, bei der letzten Rechnung das Datum falsch war und hinzukam, dass alles auf uns abgewälzt wurde ganz nach dem Motto „jetzt zahlt doch einfach“ egal ob richtig oder nicht. Für solche eine Preisklasse unmöglich und leider nicht zu empfehlen. Leider müssen wir die Buchung jetzt wahrnehmen, was wir mit einem bitteren Beigeschmack tun. Schade!

We stayed at Hamilton Tented Camp in the middle of March 2025 to celebrate my birthday. The accommodation in tent #1 was superb and luxurious with views to the river and dam. The management and staff did an excellent job and prepared a lovely cake and song/dance for my birthday. The Safari drives with Hali were very informative. We did not see much game, but we learned a lot about the bush, the trees and the birds. The game around the concession is plentiful, but you must be lucky on the day out to see it. All together an excellent and memorable stay. P

This lodge is a must . Having a camp with no fence in the heart of wild savana, and enjoy delicate food in front or the river with hipos snorkeling or wake-up at five to safari with lions, leopard, elephants with experimented ranger . What about accommodation: luxury tent with private terrace, jacuzzi over the river and more than you need … all furniture in an old pioneers style brings you back to the explorer time! Lovely

From the moment we were served cold hand towels and mint tea when we arrived at Hamiltons to the African farewell song and dance by the staff, our family of 8 was awestruck by the beauty, serenity and luxury of the camp...both the surroundings and the staff. We started with a safety orientation like no other and within an hour we were on our first safari seeing animals we had only dreamed about walking within yards of the vehicle. Our meals were incredibly well prepared by an on-premise chef with wonderful selections to choose from. Breakfasts after our morning safaris were especially delicious...probably because we were up at 5am. The friendliness and service provided by all the staff members only added to the wonderful experience we all will remember for the rest of our lives.

Hamiltons Tented Camp is an absolute dream! Our family of eight adults stayed for three nights, booking four of the six stunning tents. The experience was flawless—elevated by having our own guide and personalized dining service. February was an incredible time to visit—lush landscapes, abundant wildlife, and so many baby animals! Across six game drives, we counted 1,800 animals (yes, we kept track!)—from majestic elephants and giraffes to lions and rhinos. Beyond the safari, Hamiltons offers next-level luxury. The accommodations feel like a scene from a classic safari film, with every detail as beautiful as the website photos. The food was phenomenal, and the service was truly world-class. They even arranged seamless airport transfers, making everything stress-free. This is a premium experience, but every moment is worth it. If you’re looking for a once-in-a-lifetime safari, look no further than Hamiltons. We can’t wait to return!

Le lodge est superbement situé au bord de la rivière Nwaswitdontso, Les repas se prennent sur une vaste terrasse surplombant la rivière avec vue sur des hippopotames faisant leurs ablutions. On accède aux chambres par un pont en bois surélevé qui contribue à une immersion dans l’ambiance Out of Africa. Les chambres sont spacieuses, et bénéficient d’une piscine privée sur terrasse extérieure, et d’une douche et baignoire avec vue sur la rivière. C’est beau et romantique.
Mais certains points font que l’on reste un peu sur sa faim et que le prix semble un peu trop élevé en comparaison avec d’autres lodges, y compris à Sabie Sands. En effet, la nourriture est assez moyenne, et il faut le dire et l’ambiance générale assez froide et impersonnelle. De plus, peut-être par malchance, ou du fait que le Lodge n’avait qu’un seul véhicule pour les safaris et que notre ranger n’avait visiblement pas de contacts avec les rangers des lodges voisins, nos 2 Game Drives se sont transformés en 2 balades en 4x4 dans le bush sans apercevoir la queue d’un léopard, d’un lion, d’une hyène …

Hamilton's was a wonderful experience. 3 nights in luxurious accommodation and exemplary service by the local dedicated staff. The food was outstanding, the staff very kind, helpful and funny. Nothing was too much trouble It is a private 10,000 concession inside Kruger and so the experience was very intimate. We rose at 430am each day for a pre-dawn safari before returning around 4 hours later for a sumptuous breakfast. Morning tea, lunch high tea followed before heading out on safari again around 5pm for another 4 hours or so. Dinner followed our return. We spotted, elephants, giraffes, hippos, rhinos, leopards, hyenas, buffalo, lions and dozens of other species. It was truly a trip of a lifetime. Our guide, Harley, was amazing in his knowledge, humour and ability to track the most elusive of animals. He also mixed a mean sundowner drink in the evening light. The tents were huge with a separate relaxing lunge, a pool and even a bath. Bedding was huge and very comfortable. I would highly recommend Hamiltons to anyone considering an African safari.
