Baobab Ridge was perfect for our once in a lifetime Safari experience. For a small family and Safari newbies, the Lodge made the experience very comfortable. The room was spacious and comfortable and meals tasty and more than adequate. The Lodge backs onto a watering hole and just sitting by the pool, we saw many different animals and birds coming in for a drink. Being in a Private game reserve, each game drive felt special, unhurried and very personalised. We realised the importance of this later on, when we visited Chobe National Park as a day trip and witnessed the mad scramble of vehicles around a poor pack of sleeping lions. Our guide Devine was just a great guy, a brilliant tracker who could even smell out an African eagle! We enjoyed his company. Seeing the big 5 on 2 consecutive days, a majestic pack of male lions, a leopard on a tree with its kill and even a cheetah - we got lucky and feel blessed. Thanks Baobab Ridge.

Stayed for a 4 night safari in May 2025 - it was fantastic - besides seeing so many animals on safari- we highly rated the lodge - friendly staff , beautiful rooms , great food - new safari jeeps , they changed the setting / theme for lunch and dinner every day , reasonable priced drinks , lovely laying by the pool during the day watching animals come to the water hole - it was beyond all expectation !

Our family of five spent four magnificent days at the Baobab. There is an authenticity and intimacy to the whole experience there, combined with a distinct respect for your personal/familial space, which isn't an easy achievement. The rooms are beautiful, and every meal was outstanding, with excellent preparation, variety, and professionalism (always served with bright smiles)--we were blown away at every seating. Finally, we saw the Big 5 (and then some!) on our safari drives (with a huge shoutout to David, "The Leopard King"), loving every one of our 2x/day wildlife treasure hunts. We subsequently stayed at an absolutely gorgeous and highly professional property in a different reserve, which all of us loved, but we agreed that Baobab gets the winning nod. A genuine Kruger gem.

We spent our Honeymoon here and I couldn’t recommend a better place to stay in Kruger, they made our trip so special even with a special dinner to celebrate. Service was amazing from all staff at the lodge and also our game driver, David was awesome and made the experience on the safari superb. Definitely worth staying here you won’t be disappointed and is fantastic value for money. Will be back. Thank you!

Just the most amazing time! Staff can’t do enough for you, food is great (and there’s a lot of it) and drinks are very reasonably priced. The game drives with Divine were just awesome and he is an encyclopaedia of the bush. Really relaxed feel to the place with animal viewings all day sat by the pool. Had a great group in the lodge for the 4 days which naturally helps but I would highly recommend this for your safari. Even got to watch some of the Masters golf on tv

We saw all the big 5 on the first day! Everything was great from beginning to end, even before we arrived with the communication and ease of arranging airport transfers. Rooms are gigantic and private and a relaxing place to hang between drives. The food was varied, delicious and SO plentiful, we were stuffed. Snacks and drinks during the game drives were something to look forward to. The entire staff was so lovely and we would definitely stay again. Thank you!

Nic and the team at Baobab Ridge are friendly, welcoming, and caring. They do everything to ensure that you have a great stay, highlighted with fantastic wildlife viewing. All of the meals were incredible and the team was great at handling special dietary needs. Meals at the main lodge were a nice combination of time together, but still having the privacy of a table for your own party. One evening, we had a barbecue in the Boma, the atmosphere was magical. The room was spacious, well-appointed, and had everything you might need. In the afternoons it was nice to have a nap or sit and read while listening to the birds and monkeys. Morning and evening safaris were amazing, the guides are very knowledgeable and communicate with each other to get you the best sightings possible. All of the sightings felt very private with only a few vehicles there at a time. What a treat to be pampered at the lodge for 2 nights!

My wife and I along with 10 family and friends spent an amazing three nights at Baobab Ridge. Nick and team were very accommodating, and we had a memorable time. The daily safaris were amazing where we in the hands Devine and Marvin who were both spectacular drivers and trackers. Privilege and team prepared fantastic meals and the hospitality from all at Baobab were just amazing. The rooms were fabulous, clean and very well kept. The team knows exactly how to cater the needs of its guest and we're truly grateful to have been able to spend time here at this amazing place. We can't say enough about our stay here.
