Very good service, the landlord is very nice and polite. The room is small, but it is suitable for single people. The only drawback is that the shower water flow is too small. After a day of climbing the mountain, there is no big shower when I come back. It is very uncomfortable. I hope it can be improved. The breakfast is great, the bedside sleep spray, tea, and biscuits are very thoughtful.

Great little b and b...clean tidy room,decent shower and lovely breakfast with plenty of choice. Slept like a log,which to be honest is a new feeling for me in a b and b..would definitely return

I stayed in the single room. It was a cute and cosy room and I liked the design, however there were quite few things that didn't meet to standards. The floor needed hoovering as there were bits all over it when I arrived. The shower dial isn't very good and the water takes a long time to heat up When I was in the shower I could see thick dust ontop of the bathroom door. The base of the bed was badly marked and looked dirty. The mattress felt really springy and cheap. I didn't try the breakfast but it looked nice in the photos.

We were a group of 5 that stayed here on our finish of cycling the South Downs. John was a very welcoming host and we could find no fault with the accommodation. The guesthouse is immaculately clean and all the rooms had great facilities. The breakfast was great and we particularly enjoyed the homemade bread, jam and marmalade!

Great Stay At Gyves
Stayed for a week and had a wonderful stay. Exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was outstanding. So close to the beach and the pier! Will definitely stay again!

A lovely stay
A lovely stay with a very friendly and welcoming host. The room was sparkling clean with a super comfy bed. I'd definitely recommend and would stay again if in the area.
