It is value for money. Staff is very nice and helpful. Breakfast is traditionally English breakfast, with bread, fruit, cereal, yogurt, juice, coffee/tea. Although not many variety, but the food is good. Room is small, main bed is comfortable, but the extra bed is too soft, not comfortable. As no a/c, we need to ask for fan. Room is not all prepared. You need to ask reception, but they are kind to help. Comparatively, a bit far from pier or beach. But maybe a good walk along beach during sunny day.

Although there is an elevator, you still need to go up and down several stairs to reach the floor, like a maze. Please note that the family rooms are likely to be on both sides. If you bring large luggage, it will be really difficult to move up and down. You can park on the road and ask the front desk for a card to put in the car.

Just got back from a weekend at The New Willminton in Eastbourne—what a gem! The room was spotless, the bed was dreamy, and that sea view? Stunning. Staff were so friendly, and the breakfast kept me full till lunch. Perfect location, too—right near the beach and town. Would definitely stay again!

Me and my partner came here for his birthday and asked for the room to be decorated etc which was lovely surprise for him! Really loved it, balloons, banners cake etc. Room was lovely! On the other hand, couldn’t find anywhere to park so I rung them and they had told us to park behind the hotel infront of some garages as it’s “their property”, I mentioned it was also infront of the garages either side and then advised to them this had happened but they said it’s ok as it’s “Their property”. The first morning we had to ask to be served for breakfast as was there at-least 15minutes then second morning was in the middle of my breakfast and got asked to move my car because it was in the way although they said my car is ok where it is as it’s their property so I didn’t have a proper breakfast.

The room had two double beds so a bonus! There was still plenty of room to move around so had my disabled friend been in a wheelchair,we would still have been o.k.The lift is rather small-2 people and 2 cases almost filled it! The plug in the handbasin did not retain water but,unfortunately,it being a weekend,no part could be obtained. The cooked breakfast was not from a buffet but freshly cooked,so the plates were very hot on Saturday,less so on Sunday! The staff were all family members it seemed,so a nice atmosphere.

Had a lovely stay at the New Wilmington Hotel. The staff was thoroughly professional and friendly, check in was smooth. Location of the hotel is ideal, theatre and is just across the road. Beach is just 2 minutes from the hotel. Cleaning is high standard. Breakfast was hot and served on the table, juices and fruits were fresh. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Eastbourne.

Thank you to Wajiha and Ajmal and all the staff at the New Wilmington Hotel for our fabulous stay in Eastbourne. I couldn't have wished for a better room. It was spacious, comfortable and well-appointed. Loved the ease-of-access lights and lamps! When we had queries or concerns, they were dealt with promptly and courteously and to our complete satisfaction. The fact that such a lovely, affordable hotel could be found so close to the sea, in the heart of beautiful Eastbourne, delighted me and my partner and I had the restful nights we needed after busy days in town and on the beach. I look forward to staying here again. Many thanks to all at this excellent hotel!

Very comfortable and well decorated room, handy location, lovely staff. Breakfast good quality if a little limited. Street parking available outside by purchasing a pass from the hotel for a modest daily fee which can be used in other parts of East Sussex with the same code H. Would recommend and would return again. Also very handy for the theatres.
