Myself and my guests were blown away with this beautiful house. I spent two weekends at Balmule celebrating my 60th birthday with friends and family and we absolutely adored it. We all enjoyed the luxury, space and freedom the house offered. Whilst I enjoyed the master suite some ventured out to the waterfall and others relaxed in the hot tub. And even in November the BBQ was a big hit. Both the lounge and dining room provided ample room for 20 guests. Thanks so much to Franc and ALL the team, I just can't wait to come back soon xx

This house is stunning. We attended as a party of 20 guests. The house comfortably accommodated all of us and still felt spacious. We took advantage of the dry weather and explored the beautiful grounds, the magical garden which is lit at light and creates a wonderful peaceful escape. All the rooms are luxurious and with their own coffee facilities. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped. The owner & care taker were attentive and super responsive and nothing was too much trouble. We are booked to come back it’s that good 👌

We have just celebrated our son’s wedding at the beautiful Balmule House. We had a perfect weekend. Location, facilities, food and attention to detail all first class, Franc and his team could not have been more attentive. We would recommend Balmule in a heart beat.

We hosted a very special 50th anniversary at Balmule House with a unique chance to bring family together from both hemispheres. The incredible generosity shown by the host was felt throughout the weekend and added to the special atmosphere as we celebrated a very important couple. This venue is perfect for hosting special events. It marries elements of grandeur with relaxed comfort. I had not visited it beforehand so brought champagne glasses and all sorts of extras but needn't have bothered. There is such an abundance of glasses, platters etc it made hosting so easy. There was incredible bedding and towels, each room had complimentary biscuits and coffee machine. As a generous host myself, the venue was the perfect extension to make everyone feel welcome. These smaller points can be easily written of as unnecessary expenses for a lot of venues, but it is the thoughtful attention to detail that makes such a big difference when hosting others. This house is a stone's throw from where our family have lived for nearly 80 years so they have seen many incarnations of this house. Everyone was very impressed by it's latest lease of life. Thank you Franc and Balmule House for helping make this event as memorable as it was.

Beautiful big house, more than enough room and beds for all. surrounded by lush green countryside - we were really lucky with the weather, sunshine everyday. Kitchen big enough to cook a feast for 10+ guests, and enough equipment to bake a birthday cake. Groundskeeper was friendly and helpful. really lovely stay.

Balmule House was the perfect setting for our 25th anniversary. The house and grounds are just stunning. The drawing room is an especially lovely space. The flexibility and responsiveness of Franc and Colin was also especially helpful in making our weekend special.

We were there for our wedding, the setting was perfect for us as it was a small family event. Franc and his team couldn't have been better, friendly, calm & professional. They made sure that everything went smoothly, we can't thank them enough. Hopefully we'll be back for other big family events in the future.

We have been coming here for years, with a large family group. Each and every time it's such a great weekend. The house is gorgeous, extremely tidy and well stocked with all the household/kitchen items you'd need. The surrounding area is lovely for walks and theres plenty to do around the house including hot tub, crochet and board games.
