Travelodge Dumfries

Stayed here for 1 night as a stop off point to break up a journey from the Midlands to Loch Ness. We arrived an hour early to be told rooms would be ready in 20 mins. receptionist gave us a parking permit to use in Dumfries so we drove in and explored for an hour or so. Upon return we got the keys to our 2 rooms. They were huge - a king size and 2 singles in each. We would have all fitted easily in one room but that's what the website told us to book. Anyway at 30 quid each a night we couldn't complain. One room did have an old vape juice container under the bed but otherwise the rooms and bathrooms were spotless. The next receptionist recommended a few places we could go for dinner and the place we chose (Lockards Farm Pub) was fantastic. Got a good night's rest before heading out early the next day - as the hotel is located in the servies complex, we opted for the starbucks just outside for coffees and light snack before hitting the road. Only downside of our stay was the lack of phone coverage inside which meant if we need to access the internet we had to go outside or pay for it.

Short last minute booking due to an emergency at our arranged accommodation.The cost was also very reasonable.
