Fitzsimons Hotel Temple Bar

So checked into the hotel on the Saturday before the all Ireland hurling final, got the key, weren’t instructed on what time we had to check out at. Went for breakfast downstairs at around 11 ish Monday morning got back to the room, around 12. Couldn’t get into the room, back to reception to get the keys enabled to collect our stuff and check out. Nobody told us we had incurred a €20 fine…. Lovely!

We had a fantastic stay at Fitzsimons Hotel! The location is absolutely outstanding—perfect for exploring all that Dublin has to offer. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, especially the lovely girl at reception who made us feel so welcome. Our room was spotless, the beds were super comfy, and everything felt well looked after. It was a girls trip, and this hotel truly made it even more special. Would definitely stay again!

Very fun location in Temple Bar. Lots to do, but don’t let its location on the edge of Temple Bar fool you - it’s LOUD. Music, people, cars…you can hear it all. If you like to stay out late, this is a great place for you. If you turn in early, you may want to try another hotel. The rooms may get stuffy because it is too loud to open the window for air flow. The rooms were newly refurbished and clean. Lots of outlets! The walls are pretty thin, so expect to hear your neighbors, but front desk staff was helpful and the location can’t be beat for walkability.

0/10 TERRIBLE experience. We couldn’t check in early despite emails stating we could, so we left; came back and arrived right at 3pm. They gave us a room on the 1st floor right outside of the busy LOUD street. When we asked for a quieter room one of the ladies at the desk was trying to find us a different room and the other lady quickly said “nope that’s the room they get, we’re all sold out”. Our ceiling is moldy and we have to turn off the shower every 2 minutes to let it drain because the drain is clogged. We asked for more pillows and the same lady told us “they didn’t have extra pillows” We had to go down ask for more washcloths and she wouldn’t give us any, making us wait for the “cleaning people” to deliver them. I was SO excited to stay here when being in communication with them MOTHS ago but I will be leaving this review on every platform this hotel has to warn others.
