Staycity Aparthotels Dublin Augustine

We were given an upgrade to a larger apartment, which was an unexpected treat. We didn't use all the bed rooms or utility etc, but it was a treat to have the lovely large lounge and we appointed kitchen. The apartment was in a large complex and they all looked new. There was also good security, which we realised was important in this city centre location.

The staff are extremely nice and helpful. We did have an issue with the room we were allocated but it was dealt with very professionally. The TV wouldn’t work and again this was resolved. I’ve given feedback on the shower running cold when the last person went to use it. One recommendation would be to have the mirrors closer to the power points or have an additional mirror added in the hallway close to a power point. We loved our stay and it really was good value.

Overall decent place especially between the essentials of Dublin such as Guiness Storehouse and Trinity College being in-between.

This was our first experience of a Staycity appartment & the overall experience was very good. There was a mixup with our accommodation & other guests already had booked the room. This was quickly sorted by the staff & we were assigned another room on the top floor with wonderful views of Dublin. Our apartment was spotlessly clean & the decor & bedrooms were excellent. We found the shower not to be very good & on our last day we only had cold water. All the staff were excellent & special praise for Nitisha on reception who printed our boarding passes (despite lots of errors with my email) and was able to do this while multitasking with other guests & also answering the phone. We are regular visitors to Dublin & look forward to using Staycity appartments again.

May 21, 2025 I was directed from the StayCity Mark Street (where I prepaid for a room for 2 nights) for some bizarre reason. Upon arrival at the Augustine facility, I was met with a very smelly lobby, something of a mixed paints, or kerosene like, sharp and unpleasant smell, which a manager-like lady did not seem to care at all. The lobby soda was a rundown and dirty. The unsightly lobby aside, I was told by the gentleman who was checking me in that I may not have a room the next day (I pre-paid for 2 nights) ! I asked him to use the hotel phone to call the Mark Street facility but was told he can’t since the hotel doesn’t have a phone to call their chain facility! After the l6 hour international travel, I was worn out. I immediately decided to cancel the booking with StayCity. That’s enough exposure for me to decide to stay away from this hotel brand! The Reasons cited by the mark street facility to transfer me were bizarre and may warrant investigation. The Augustine facility lobby is simply unsightly and smelly, which reveals poor management and bad taste, even for a budget hotel or aparthotel!
