This was a terrible experience throughout, we parked at the first car park listed on their website and after the 8 mins walk to hotel we were told it wasn’t actually affiliated with the hotel so we later moved the car at another cost to not even be given the discounted rate the next day as we didn’t check out by 7am!! Who checks out at 7am!! Room - very very small, no wardrobe space, no where to put small 10kg bag, bathroom also tiny, there was a mini bar in the room as well as crisps and chocolate on a shelf, I asked at reception about this and told there was a QR code to purchase, I ended up having a snickers bar at €3, our window faced a building under construction which we were not advised about the noise went all all evening and at 11pm I rang reception they told me they would investigate, noise continued to 1am, it then began again at 7am! So sleep was terrible! I complained about this at checkout and was told there is regulations in place so there should not have been noise but there was!!! A few days later I was checking to see if the €50 deposit they charged to my card came back and noticed a charge or €17 to be told I took multiple items from minibar which I absolutely didn’t in fact it was charged before we even checked into the room!! After I had to make multiple calls and emails I eventually got a reply that out of courtesy they would refund the amount!!!! Courtesy!!! Not worth the high rate to stay there, would not return!!

Stayed for two nights in one of the larger rooms (I believe the smallest rooms are very small). Really like the cool industrial/shabby chic look. Room was spacious, comfortable and well equipped with a great bathroom. Food and drink very good throughout the hotel from the top floor restaurant to the pub/bar downstairs. Location is right on the river towards the docklands side of town. Great value hotel and very pleasant experience.

I booked this hotel, then read the recent reviews and this led to me travelling a little anxious and with a Plan B ready just in case. I didn't need it as my experience was good. The location seems very safe, the staff were appropriately cheerful at check-in and my room was fine. It certainly could have been bigger - I chose a Warehouse Super Room but it looks exactly like in the photo on the hotel website. It was clean and quiet (I was in 204, not above the bar - it might be worth specifying this). I was on the side where there was building work across the road but as I arrived at 6pm and left at 8am it really wasn't a problem. I think the heavy construction is now complete and the work is kitting out' the inside so it should be quieter. I also ate at the steak restaurant on the 6th floor. It was busy - on a Tuesday night I got a table at 6.45 but had to be out by 8, which was ok but you should book if you want longer. You should also book if you want a view of the river as only 10-20% of tables have it. Service was good and there was a decent atmosphere. The food was ok-good, nothing wrong with it, but not especially memorable either. I chose burrata for a starter, a steak with mushroom and fried onion topping, and sides of fries, buttered veg. With an orange juice to drink that came to 100 euros - you have been warned. Overall, I would probably try a different hotel next time, the tipping factor being that I wanted to go back to my room and work on emails for an hour or two but while there is a desk space there was only an uncomfortable stool to sit on. But I did want to say this is a perfectly decent hotel, with good staff, and while I am sorry for those who had a bad experience here you should not let the reviews deter you.

We chose The Mayson as our wedding venue for June 2025. From the moment we first toured the venue, we knew this was where we wanted to celebrate our wedding day with family and friends. The entire team on the day of our wedding were absolutely amazing and exceeded all our expectations. Special mention to Hannah for looking after us so well from our food tasting right to the big day. The team were professional, responsive, and genuinely cared about making our day special. Every detail was thoughtfully handled, allowing us to fully enjoy the day without stress. We felt supported and celebrated every step of the way. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how stunning everything was, from the venue itself, to the food! Their bellies or glasses were never empty. We couldn't have imagined a more perfect place to start our new chapter. Thank you for making our wedding day unforgettable! We can’t wait to come back for many anniversary’s and special occasions to come. Evan and Orla Clabby

We were looking forward to our stay in Dublin and had booked the Mayson due to its close proximity to Bord Gais Theatre where we were seeing a show. We checked in at 2pm and our room was already available which was great. We also used the Quayside Quarter car parking offered by the hotel at €25 which was really convenient. The room itself - a Warehouse ‘Super’ Room - was very small with no storage (no wardrobe or drawers - only a few hangers on hooks on the wall). We were only staying for one night but still had to keep most of our clothing in our overnight bag. The room was dated and not very clean - the chairs on the balcony were absolutely filthy! There was a full length mirror but apart from the bathroom, there was no other mirror in the room. The full length mirror wasn’t well placed and lighting was poor so it was difficult to dry hair and apply make-up and you had to stand up to get ready. The Dyson hairdryer was a nice touch. The shower was great, very powerful and hot, but the bathroom was tiny with very limited space to dry off or get dressed. After leaving our bags in the room, we went into the Bottle Boy bar for a drink but they had limited selection of gin (no Gordon’s, Tanquary or Bombay Sapphire), the bar wasn’t very clean and the barrel style tables were really sticky, so after one drink, we left the hotel and went elsewhere. The bed and pillows were comfy and we slept well. We had prepaid for breakfast in Ryleighs, but were disappointed with the selection and quality of the food offered. Overall, our stay was disappointing and I don’t think we would return.

This was our third time staying at The Mayson as it’s the perfect location for attending gigs in the 3arena with it only being a 2 minute walk away. We were greeted by Benni who, as always, has a very warm welcome, having even recognised us from a previous stay which was a lovely surprise. Such a lovely person to be greeted by. He was incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond for us this stay which was really appreciated. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

This was our first time staying at The Mayson as we were attending a show at the 3 arena. The hotel is perfect within a 10 minute walk from it. The rooms were very clean and had a spacious bathroom with minibar and window which overlooked the river outside. The bar downstairs served a lovely range of food and the breakfast in the morning was also very nice and had plenty to choose from on the breakfast menu. I would definitely stay here again in the future.
