In the busiest lane in the loudest party area in Dublin, the room was excellent, the beds comfy and the shower super. The service from Shannon was very, very much appreciated. The Guinness tasted great and the tvs showed the Euros game but didn’t drown out the music which was entertaining without being loud. Following morning before seven am the gully sucker was outside the window and the pavement opposite was being water scrubbed by a separate machine and team. Don’t expect a lie in but then that work needs to be done before the crowds arrived. I will stay again here.

The Norseman is one of the best of the ‘touristy’ pubs around the Temple Bar area. It has a great vibe with lots of live music, friendly staff, and just enough authentic charm to make it a nice place to spend an hour or two. Drink prices are expensive but not as bad as the likes of The Oliver St John Gogertys, making them reasonable given the location. If I had to recommend only two pubs in the Temple Bar area they’d be The Norseman and The Palace. Ironically, the two of them pretty-much bookend that street so give you a great start and end point for a pub crawl!

lovely traditional irish pub with nice old school interior. Very friendly and thankful bartenders and good live music… Guinness was tapped great, very tasty, but not the cheapest pint in Dublin. Tapped Bulmers was the best I had. Pub, bar and toilets were clean. Thx for having us.

Very nice staff, but the prices are high. We just wanted a quick snack and a beer. Ordered the nachos to share. I was horrified. Raw nachos with runny, store bought cheddar and guacamole and what they called «Pico de gayo» (4 bits of tomato that is). It did not taste good at all and was priced at almost £15. my thoughts here were: «if the chefs can proudly send this out from the kitchen, I do not want to try the «real» main courses.
