If you want to sleep at night STAY AWAY from Dean hotel!!! The hotel is next to a night club that is open EVERY night, which means you will not be able to sleep before 5 am in the morning. The staff is rude threatening you that they will call the police when you are complaining about the noisy rooms. The room is expensive and you have to pay in advance, so you will never get a discount or a full refund for the SLEEPLESS night you had.

It took me almost a year to decide if I wanted to post this review. We got married here almost a year ago and it was stressful start to finish..they can not organize your wedding don't leave it in their hands. We had 5 people leave in the organization stages every new person starting from the start whether it was a phone call or an email the new person dealing with our wedding wanted to know what we wanted we couldn't understand how it wasn't already in a file or something already why did we have to say it over and over and over again. I arrived ( bride) the night before they showed me the dungeon they wanted 10 people to get ready in with 2 makeup artists and hairdresser you couldn't possibly fit us all in. ..it was a glorified cloak room. I said I didn't want it we would get ready in the suite we were staying in instead ( we got two suites for the groom party and bridal party) they weren't happy about this but I did just think ok thats fine it's a small thing it's sorted now. Next morning the makeup artist and hairdressers arrived to be told there wasn't a wedding in today the staff were actually confused they had to ask others at the desk till someone realized oh yeah there is actually a wedding today. We tried to organize breakfast to the room for everyone I had to ring 3 times to see where it was as we were were waiting ages ..it arrived on a huge trolley wheeled into the room and just left in the hall...you do not get anyone knocking in asking do you need anything can I help with anything like any other venue ( Im a wedding vendor myself ) . We were done makeup and hair about to leave the manager came up "you have to have this room cleared out bags everything before you leave "..no mention on this in any email or anything before the moment we were about to leave, we obviously couldn't do this and left everything as it was. We arrived back from the ceremony...about 12 people had trouble with their rooms, we had our two kids and had asked about the kids food before and it wasn't an issue till the day ..they had no kids menu there was an argument to get the kids fed. We paid for extra food and they actually forgot to bring half the food out that we had organized when we flagged it oh it must have been forgotten it's too late now. We asked where the wine and bottles where we asked to be going around ..oh we forgot and they start plonking bottles of red and white wine in front of people ( about 11pm at this point ) and the the cherry on top ...at about 8pm they ran out of most drinks bottles pints you name it. There was a joke after the wedding about the staff pouring Guinness they hadn't got a clue what they were doing,one staff member said he never usually pours pints he works in the office. They couldn't have made the whole experience any worse. Stayed on Dean hotel this weekend. We arrived at 1.30pm and checked in. The.lady on reception was lovely and explained room wasn't ready as 3pm is check-in time. This was fine we left our bags and headed into city. We arrived back at 4.20 to be told by a different lady that our room wasnt ready. No apologies nothing she was rude and very short with us when I asked why as 3pm is check in time. I was given no explanation just told to sit down until she changed our room - which I didn't. She completely ignored us as we stood there until her colleague asked if we were sorted to which she answered their key is there. Our bag had been taken up to room which I queried why my belongings where put in a room that hadn't been cleaned from previous guest to which was again ignored. The room itself was OK. Bathroom felt grubby and the room and corridors are very dark. Overall not a good experience and would not stay here again.

From start to finish the experience was exceptional. Check in was smooth and quick. The ladies at reception were really welcoming, friendly and helpful. The room had everything I needed, it was clean and had a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was hands down the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had in years. The full Irish had it all and was perfectly cooked and had everything you’d want and more. Really good barista coffee too and quick friendly service. Even if I wasn’t staying I’d probably come in just for the breakfast! Would 100% recommend a stay here and I’m sure I’ll be back.
