Facilities: Renovated from an old building, there is no elevator and the internal structure is relatively complicated. We were arranged in 5XX, but it was actually on the 3rd floor. We walked through the 5th floor, through doors, and the strange structure of winding around. And each floor of the stairs is very high, very tiring, as if climbing to the 10th floor! The decoration is a bit old, but we try our best to maintain the original classical characteristics of the old building. We have made a lot of efforts in decoration, laying red carpets and hanging many oil paintings, especially in the lobby and restaurant. The front desk is very simple and old-fashioned, which is very interesting and decorated with a strong Christmas atmosphere. The room is a bit simple, the facilities are relatively old, especially the bathroom, as if we came to a guesthouse, the door card is not very sensitive, and it seems that there is no air conditioning.
Hygiene: So-so, barely pass.
Environment: Located in Dublin 2, District 2 is on the south side of the river. It is a relatively safe area and very convenient. You can walk to major attractions, the riverside and shopping centers in Dublin. St Steven’s and a well-known museum are less than 5 minutes walk from the hotel, and there is also a light rail station next to it. The bus needs to cross a graffiti-covered street to get to another main street, which seems to be much less safe. The style is a bit like Camden Town in London, where supermarkets and restaurants are also located.
Service: The staff is very enthusiastic, especially the staff in charge of breakfast, who made us feel very welcome and taken care of.

Very good location, next to St. Stephen Green, but relatively quiet. Luas tram is right at the doorstep, the room is tall and the breakfast is rich. I would choose it!

Good location and able to do a little walk to most of the attractions in the city. The hotel room is spacious, and most importantly is very clean. Stayed two nights, the first night was a bit noisy from outside due to the pub nearby but acceptable. While the second night was quiet.

The location is great. The shopping street Grafton street was 5 minutes away on foot. Lidl was about 10 minutes away.
We were there 2 hours early for check-in and we were given another room as an alternative so that we didn't have to wait.
The breakfast for €5 per person was good value and good.
The room and bathroom were clean.

Pre paid Albany House. Website looked first class! We arrived and no parking anywhere. Had to illegally park in an alley to get luggage out of the car. Check-in smooth. Car park? 5 blocks away!! No A/C and pushing 90 degrees. Room was TINY (paid 175 euros), with a tiny window over looking a different scuzzy alley. Window would not stay up and kept closing. Hallways dim, dirty and carpeting mis-matched on the stairs. The crowning blow was a Music Festival with amplified music directly behind the hotel in the park. Front desk: Good news, the music ends at 11:30pm! Nope! We packed up and went to a Way better hotel! Sure we paid about as much again as Albany House - worth every penny! Don’t stay here! Wrong in every way! This hotel is a 2 star at best!

Stayed here for a long weekend. Great room and really friendly staff. Decent continental breakfast included too. Location was good as close to the centre, Temple Bar etc but far enough out for it to feel quiet too. Would definitely look up this hotel if visiting Dublin again

Très bien situé proche de la ville, literie très confortable mais notre chambre était un peu petite, petit déjeuner basique sans spécificités, mais très bon et agréable. Un personnel formidable, très attentionné qui nous laissera un excellent souvenir.

We stayed for two nights. Was able to check in early which was great since we just arrived off the plane. We had room 21, down the stairs, in the back. Very quiet, although you could hear the tram going back and forth, but not a problem. Spacious room and we found the bed very comfortable and the bathroom large and modern. The check in was super quick. The breakfast was delicious, assorted cheeses, jams, yogurt, fresh fruit, juices and breads. They asked if you wanted toast, tea or coffee and brought it to your table. The lady and gentleman running breakfast were on top of it!! When we left the lady at front reception called us a taxi and it was there in literally 3 minutes. This house is a perfect location to see Dublin. It’s a short walk up the street and through beautiful St Stephen’s Green to the hop on hop off bus . It is convenient to the Fresh market (grocery store). People give this less stars because there is no lift and no hot breakfast food. If that’s what you require for your stay then don’t look or stay here, and for heaven’s sake don’t mark it down because you didn’t read up on it properly! The house is on the preservation society list, so there will never be a lift. Albany house and its staff are wonderful! We very much enjoyed our stay!
