My stay at Villa Rotana was overall excellent, and the accommodation was good. However, I must express my dissatisfaction with the behavior of one staff member at the reception desk, Anne. Anne's attitude was unprofessional and unpleasant. She insisted on not providing the room I had booked, which was quite frustrating. It seemed as though she was more focused on meeting some monthly target, as she persistently pushed for an upgrade that I neither needed nor wanted. When I declined the upgrade, she assigned me a smoking room, despite my clear preference for a non-smoking one. She assured me that I would be moved to a non-smoking room the following day, which was highly inconvenient given my short three-night stay. I was eventually moved to the correct room only on the last night of my stay. This experience was both disappointing and unprofessional. I urge the management to take appropriate action against such behavior, as it tarnishes the otherwise great hospitality standards that Villa Rotana aims to uphold. No guest should be subjected to such treatment.
