The day after we checked in, we tried to go into the pool with our one-year-old daughter, but the lifeguard told us we couldn't go in unless we were wearing waterproof diapers. There was nowhere nearby that sold them. When we asked what to do, he replied, "Why don't you order them online?" There's no way we could order online in Dubai when we were tourists.
If they had told us in advance, we would have brought our own, so it's not fair to tell them the rules after the fact. This hotel does not welcome families, so I would recommend that families with small children not stay here.
