Absolutely unforgettable stay at Palazzo Cherchi! Perfectly located in the heart of charming Dorgali, it’s the ideal base for exploring Cala Gonone and the breathtaking Golfo di Orosei. The hotel itself is a beautifully restored palazzo—every single detail has been thoughtfully designed, from the elegant rooms to the stunning common spaces. Impeccably clean, stylish, and full of history. Each guest room is unique and filled with charm—true palazzo vibes throughout. The terrace is hands-down the best spot in town to watch the sunset, and aperitivo hour here is an experience not to be missed. Maria is incredibly welcoming, helpful, and always available with a warm smile. She (and the entire staff!) went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The breakfast is amazing and beautifully prepared with many options. Maria also shared fantastic local tips and recommendations that made our trip even more special. Hearing her speak of the history of her family palazzo was so special. I truly cannot recommend staying at Palazzo Cherci enough. A magical place with magical people—we will absolutely be back!

Beautiful Sardinian decorated hotel 1. Clean and spacious bedroom and washroom, with small fridge. Large windows for fresh mountain air. 2. Excellent breakfast - very unusual for Italy. There are provisions of various breads, cereal, cheese, ham, jams and honey, fruits, Sardinian breakfast cakes and biscuits. Juices and excellent coffee. Everything is served on china. 3. The hostess is provides great information on the surrounding area - visiting Cala Gonone, beaches of Orosei and cruise excursions on the gulf of Orosei, restaurants to eat. 4. Each floor has a beautiful drawing room to read and a balcony to enjoy coffee and tea. 5. Common area has kettle, tea cups and some tea bags 6. Explore the 4th floor to visit the roof top and take in the Mountain View 7. Interior of hotel is fill with Sardinian decor. I highly recommend this hotel for the experience of Sardinia.

Beautiful, historic building full of beauty and charm. Maria is generous, helpful and sweet. We loved our stay and hope to go back one day. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely time at this wonderful bed and breakfast. Maria warmly welcomed us and gave us helpful information about what to see and do and recommended some great places to eat. The palazzo is gorgeous and has recently been restored. We stayed in a family room with was very spacious and airy. Our son was delighted to have a mezzanine floor to himself and had the choice between two beds. The palazzo has a wonderful rooftop terrace, perfect for watching the sun go down. Breakfast was served on the ground floor every morning. All the staff were very friendly. Palazzo Cherchi has no parking but at this time of year we found parking around the corner very easy. Where parking charges applied they were very cheap indeed. It was our son's 10th birthday during our stay and Maria surprised him with a really lovely birthday cake which made his day even more special. We would whole heartedly recommend staying at Palazzo Cherchi and would certainly stay again if we come back to this area of Sardinia.

We booked this accommodation for 2 nights and stayed for 4 weeks we loved it so much. A beautifully restored home in the centre of Dorgali close to all amenities. It has a palatial feel but with all mod cons. We particularly loved watching the swallows from the lovely roof terrace in the evening - magical ! Best breakfast we had in Sardinia and Franca was a delight couldn't do enough for us. Would definitely return.
