Jambo Angela, and all of the team at Baraza. Firstly, thank you to Angela and all of the team at Baraza for making our family so welcome and our stay so magical. Hotel: Having seen lots of photos of Baraza we were super excited to being staying here and first impressions did not disappoint. Baraza is a beautiful hotel. It is serene, elegant and stylish and beautifully furnished. We absolutely loved all of the attention to detail and furnishings. I have read reviews that thought the gold was a bit much, I completely disagree. The gold theme runs throughout the hotel adding a sense of a sultan's palace , opulence and decadence. It is tasteful and extremely stylish, throughout and what a joy to spend time at such a beautiful hotel in a perfect paradise setting - what's not to like? Room: We had the two bedroom Sultan's Palace suite. My husband and I shared the master bedroom with large ensuite bathroom with both bath, shower and separate WC. Our teenage children shared the second bedroom with twin beds and ensuite. We had a beautifully designed living area with a spectacular cushioned seating area and outside was a private garden, terrace, sun loungers and plunge pool. We wanted for nothing. The suite was immaculate, the beds soft and comfortable with a nightly turn down service and mosquito nets on the four poster bed. Dining: Baraza is renowned for its food and this did not disappoint. Breakfast is a very high quality choice of continental meats cheese, huge selection of fresh pastries, cooked breakfast, yoghurts, cereals, granola, eggs anyway you like, breads and fresh juice everything you'd expect from a 5 star hotel, which deserves 10 stars! Lunch is in a different room open air room by the pool, with a great selection of buffet, and beautiful puddings, pastries and ice-cream bar. Dinner this was a mixed of spice buffet, and set menus all carefully considered dishes which had been excellently executed and presented. Baraza is clearly keen to maintain their reputation for excellence for dining and it was all delicious. On the nights with the set menu it was possible to have vegetarian options and the kids menu was also an option. Pool: Wow, just wow. This is a simply stunning pool, in a stunning location by the beach. I cannot imagine a better laid out hotel, anywhere. You have everything you need just a short stroll away. The pool provides a central point and from here you can pivot to the beach, to the water sports centre, to the pool table, area for afternoon tea, lunch, dining, reception, the bar and the rooms. We didn't struggle to find sun loungers for our family of four, it was all very relaxed, and there were options in the shade. Within moments of choosing a lounger a member of staff would appear to take your drinks order to provide an iced bucket with a bottle of chilled water. Fresh cocktails were on offer on Monday nothing is too much trouble. Ambience: Hakuna Matata, no problem, is an expressed used throughout Zan
