Recently renovated and they have done a great job - especially the lobby and restaurant. The rooms are large and well equipped but they are very mean with the tea/coffee giving just 1 small coffee sachet (enough for half a cup) but providing 2 cups. However, they are happy to send extra but in the standard of hotel you should not need to ask. RIP the mini bar - they used to have a great mini bar with snacks, wine/beer etc. Now it is a fridge with a couple of bottle of soft drinks. On the subject of alcohol - the old Carmens bar which had several pool tables and a relaxed atmosphere - has now closed and replaced with what is intended to be a lobby bar but looks more like a bottle museum. The lighting is way too bright for a bar - it's pretty much floodlight so if you want a nice cozy relaxing drink forget it. They have a trolley full of great booze tucked away in the side room - various spirits, liqueurs. They need to set them up on the virtually empty shelves and at least try and make it look like bar. Final gripe is the staff in this brilliantly lit bar have zero interest in what they are doing. Not a single smile or any expression of anything on both evenings I was there. Just a blank stare then back to the phone screen. The breakfast was excellent as were the staff - very helpful and smiley. Front desk were also great. However, to be considered of a International standard (they plan to join a major chain soon) they really need to improve spoken English

Friends recommended the first time to stay, newly renovated, the appearance seems ordinary, but the interior is luxurious, the room is large, the king bed is soft and comfortable, There is plenty of parking space, it is free, and it is very convenient to eat. The recent stay in a homestay was really surprising, especially the attitude of the boss, which was simply unacceptable. As guests, we arrived on time and looked forward to a comfortable stay. However, when we stood at the door of the hotel with joy, we found that the boss was slow to open the door. What is even more annoying is that the boss's attitude is extremely negative. We asked some questions about the equipment of the homestay, and he not only answered perfunctoryly, but also seemed very impatient. As if the question we asked was disturbing him and made him feel unhappy. The most unbearable thing is that the boss actually entered our room without any notice, and we greeted in advance and said that we would open the door later, but when we came back, the phone could not get through. Such a homestay experience is really disappointing. As a member of the service industry, the boss should always take guests first and provide quality service. However, the boss completely ignored the needs and feelings of the guests, and cast a shadow on our accommodation experience with negative attitudes and bad behavior. I hope that the owner of this homestay can seriously reflect on his behavior, improve his service attitude, and not let other guests suffer the same encounter. For us, this unpleasant experience also reminds us that when choosing a homestay, we must be cautious and cautious to avoid encountering such a bad thing again.
