The view from the room was stunning, with a clear sight of Huangqishan. The hotel’s service was outstanding; staff were warm and attentive, and I was genuinely touched that they remembered my breakfast preferences and where I liked to sit each morning. The location is also fantastic—central, convenient, and perfect for exploring Dongguan. Room & Amenities The room was beautifully appointed and thoughtfully laid out, offering both comfort and functionality. A standout feature was the separate toilet and bath, which added a touch of sophistication and convenience. The modern furnishings, high-quality bedding, and spacious layout made for a truly relaxing stay. Location The hotel is situated in one of Dongguan’s most vibrant districts, surrounded by bustling energy and endless entertainment options. Adjacent to the property is a massive shopping mall, providing guests with easy access to retail, dining, and leisure activities. Executive Lounge Experience Though located on a lower floor, the Executive Lounge is a true gem. The selection of delicacies was exceptional, with a variety of gourmet bites and premium beverages. What truly elevated the experience, however, was the warm and attentive service—special thanks to Steven and Freya, who went above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. Their professionalism and genuine hospitality made every visit to the lounge delightful. Overall Impression Without a doubt, the InterContinental Dongguan stands as the best hotel in the city. Its combination of modern luxury, prime location, and outstanding service—especially from staff like Steven and Freya—makes it a top recommendation for both business and leisure travelers. Review for Ibis Hotel: The Ibis Hotel in Dongguan is a hidden gem. This is our second time staying at this hotel, and we will definitely choose it again for our future visits to Dongguan. We opted for the panoramic room, which offers a bit more space. The room is well-equipped with all the essentials. Considering the price you pay, the value is exceptional. The breakfast provided is not only delicious but also offers a wide variety of options at a very reasonable price. The reception staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. We adore this hotel and will definitely be returning in the future.

The room is hygienic, spacious, and quiet, but the facilities are relatively old. The isolated supreme fashionable double room has just been cleaned. When I walked in, I found that the decoration and equipment were much newer. Breakfast doesn't have many choices, but it tastes good. There are many restaurants near Nancheng Commercial Street, but Shangpin Roast Goose a little further away has good taste and environment, so it is worth trying.

Great Hotel with Excellent Facilities, But Poor Tennis Court Experience We stayed at this hotel recently and overall had a very pleasant experience. The hotel is located just 700 meters from the metro, making it easy to reach. The property is spacious and includes an outdoor pool, indoor pool, sauna, gym, a tennis court (details below), a large dining hall, and two separate massage areas offering various treatments. Room & Service: The rooms are clean and comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised with a free upgrade to a larger room upon arrival. The staff were friendly and polite. Food: We’d rate the food 3.5 out of 5. The buffet is advertised as European, but the dishes lean heavily toward Chinese cuisine. Breakfast wasn’t to our taste, so we decided to skip dinner. Massage: There are two massage salons. We booked a foot massage, but the therapists ended up giving us an almost full-body massage, paying extra attention to sore areas. It was a wonderful experience — 5 out of 5. Pools & Sauna: Both pools are open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. If you prefer fewer people, we recommend the indoor pool around 7 a.m. and the outdoor one around 2 p.m. The pools were clean and warm, and we appreciated the Swedish sauna in the locker room. Again — 5 stars. Gym: The gym is well-equipped and never crowded. Open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. — another 5 stars. Tennis Court: Unfortunately, this was the only major disappointment. Despite several attempts to book and show up at the scheduled time, no staff were present. Phone calls were ignored or we were told, “I don’t have time to talk.” We eventually got a refund (booked via *******), but the experience was frustrating and unprofessional. Rating: 1 out of 5. Overall: Aside from the tennis court issue, we were very happy with our stay and would recommend this hotel to others. Great amenities, clean rooms, and a peaceful environment.

Very good choice, the room is large, the service is good as well, especially remember to ask the front desk for the travelling guidance of the city.

Front desk people are very nice, polite and eager to help. The location of the hotel is near many restaurants and mall. They also provided us with umbrella when raining without fees.

The room was tidy and cozy! The staff was very friendly and efficient. The only disappointment was the breakfast, as they didn’t have much choices. We will come back tho :)

Other than our first room smelling like cigarette smoke, everything was amazing. They quickly switched us to a smell free room. At the check in desk they measure you for the perfect pillow. The bed was super comfy. Also the hotel is conveniently located near many attractions.

The staff is very nice but the hotel is not good not clean no door on the bathroom WiFi horrible not smell friendly I wouldn’t stay here again
