I really enjoyed my stay here. The manager Jody was so hospitable. I asked to be on the top floor and got free upgrade! I was in town for the Des Moines Marathon. It took me longer than I anticipated to finish. Jody was very kind and gave me an extended late checkout. The room is very nice, comfortable bed. Very good breakfast. Continently located walking distance downtown with restaurants in the area.

Terrific central location, literally across the street from the Iowa Event Center/Casey’s Arena. Hotel was packed for an event but staff was efficient, kind and welcoming. King room was spacious with high ceilings and nice furnishings. We had a view of the arena (which we enjoyed); other rooms overlook the river/skyline which is very pretty at night. Bathroom had great lighting and a walk in shower. Everything was well maintained and super clean. Parking is a small additional charge but was well worthwhile for convenience. It was incredible to walk out of the arena after the show and be in our room within two minutes. Tons of great restaurants within walking distance. Highly recommended!

We were in town for a show at the Casey Arena, which is right across the street from Fairfield Inn so it was very convenient. The hotel employees were wonderful. The beds were comfortable. We had time to do a bit of walking in the area. We went across the river on the Iowa Women of Achievement bridge, which was cool. We visited the Robert D. Ray Asian garden, then had lunch at Zombie Burger. Next time I visit, I’ll be sure to make time for the Botanical Garden.

Better than expected.
Was swinging through town with family. I love the location. First time in Des Moines, and I was impressed enough to make Des Moines a future destination and will definitely plan on staying at the Fairfield!

Had a great experience! Came to Des Moines for a friends wedding. The hotel is in a perfect spot on the riverfront and the room and accommodations were great! Thanks for a nice stay!
