Hotels in Floral Water Bay Hot Spring Resort, Dayi

Apart from the reception service, which was excellent, everything else about this hotel was terrible. This is the worst hot spring hotel I've ever stayed at, and I've traveled extensively. You rarely see cars from outside the local area, as Dayi and Dujiangyan are popular summer getaways for Chengdu residents. 1. I was persuaded by the charming front desk staff to pay over 400 RMB for a private bath room. The room was dark and damp, and the 'private' bath offered no privacy at all. There were so many mosquitoes and other insects in the room that you could see traces of them everywhere. This was likely due to the abundant greenery around the hotel combined with continuous rain and humidity. They offered two plates of pears as 'seasonal fruit' – when I asked customer service, that's what they said. Really? Over 1000 RMB for a room, and all you get are two plates of pears? What a way to run a business! And for the private bath, you have to wait for staff to fill it. Is it really that technically challenging? The 'private bath' is just mountain spring water – they euphemistically call it 'spring water from Xiling Snow Mountain' – and it even has time restrictions. 2. The 'Baile Tang' (public hot springs) is all hype. They don't even provide drinking water at the hot springs – I've never seen that before! The retail prices are completely opaque and outrageous: an ice cream costs 22 RMB, and a bottle of Bai Sui Shan mineral water is 8 RMB. It completely blew my mind. The only reason I didn't report them for price gouging is because I didn't want to deal with bureaucracy or spoil my vacation further. Out of 25 advertised hot springs, I only saw a few open; the rest were either closed or cordoned off for private use. You constantly hear people hawking 'back-scrubbing services.' The huge mosquitoes were everywhere. Hot springs in Jiange also have outdoor areas and greenery, but you don't have to battle mosquitoes like this. My family of three didn't get our legs completely covered in bites there. 3. As for the restaurant, their 'brown sugar pancake' (Hongtang Guokui) was actually just a small, fried, filled steamed bun from breakfast. Pure consumer fraud. The waiter, to their credit, was quick to address it and refunded 38 RMB. 4. Breakfast was chaotic, with limited space and no available seating. No one wanted to sit in the sun. To get wontons, you had to wrap them yourself, and the restaurant staff would cook them. Absolutely ridiculous! The most laughable thing is that they still chased me on WeChat for a good review. Unbelievable nerve!

The hotel is located in Huashuiwan Town, heading north towards Tiangong. It appears to be situated in a village. Apart from this relatively large hotel, there are only a few restaurants and supermarkets nearby, characteristic of a small town or rural area. Here's a more detailed breakdown of the hotel: 1. **Room Rate**: We stayed during a mid-August summer weekend. A King Room with a terrace cost 860 RMB, including breakfast for two and all-day hot spring access. * **Post-stay impression**: I felt the price was a bit steep. The hotel's facilities and amenities don't quite match its 'luxury hotel' promotion; it's more akin to a boutique lifestyle hotel at best. 2. **Room**: It featured a 1.8-meter king-sized bed, a long vanity counter, an armchair, and a chair in front of the TV. The washbasin was integrated into the main room, while the toilet and shower were separate. The terrace had two chairs. The toiletries (pictured) were unfamiliar. 3. **Environment/Surroundings**: Other than a central courtyard lawn, the hotel's immediate surroundings are quite natural. However, this also includes dilapidated, unfinished buildings nearby, so I wouldn't describe the overall environment as good. 4. **Hot Springs Pools**: Since it was summer, I only glanced at the outdoor area; there were probably just 3 to 4 small pools. I didn't check out the indoor pools. 5. **Swimming Pool**: There's a riverside pool, approximately 4 meters long, which essentially served as a children's splash pad during my visit. Curiously, there were sun loungers by the pool, but no cushions, perhaps to discourage long lounging. Let's move on to the pros: 1. **Summer River Access**: During summer, it's convenient for playing in the river and stream trekking. The hotel offers direct access to the riverbank, and the water felt shallow. Being close to snow-capped mountains, the water was likely quite cool. 2. **Service**: Upon check-in, guests are added to a WeChat group. Any requests made in the group were handled promptly, which I consider excellent and timely service. To summarize, if the room rate were under 500 RMB, I might consider staying again. However, for 860 RMB, I don't feel that the environment and facilities justified the price.

This hotel is located in Tiangong Town, a few kilometers away from Huashuiwan Town. We booked a loft room with a sofa bed downstairs and a large bed upstairs. It was enough for us, three adults and two children. There are two public hot springs on the second floor of the hotel. I took the children to take a bath after dinner. The water temperature was OK. If you don't want to go out, you can also choose to take a bath in the big bath in the room. The store prepared Tremella soup and fruits for everyone in the evening. The breakfast was also quite good, with many varieties, and there were noodles, which the children liked very much. The waiters in the store were very good. There were not many people on Friday, and we almost had the illusion of renting the place 😂 I will come again next time if I have the chance [smiley face]

The hardware facilities of Jintang Hengda Hotel are good and the decoration is luxurious. The hotel staff has a strong sense of service, especially the two sisters of Xia Dongyi and Zhang Yuru at the front desk. They have questions and answers, and the service is warm. They also give us a free upgrade to breakfast. We must like it!

I feel that the price is very affordable and the lady boss is very nice. When we went there, the boss met us at the door and found a parking space for us. It's just that the toiletries are a bit out of stock. It's best to bring your own.

The place is nice, just a few minutes' walk from Four Seasons Hot Spring Valley. It's very convenient to soak in the hot springs. The environment is clean and hygienic. The snacks and breakfast are well prepared. The owner is very nice and doesn't say much. We were going to the West Neighbor Snow Mountain on the day of check-out, and it was very early, so we troubled the owner to take us to town. The air conditioning in the room was not very effective, but it was not too cold with an electric blanket. I forgot to take pictures. In short, it is worth choosing in Huashui Bay.

這次來花水灣這邊想感受一下温泉，挑來挑去選了這家酒店，起初還擔心景點附近客流量大有的民宿酒店環境可能會沒那麼細心，但是負責任地告訴各位，住這家真的完全不用擔心，辦理入住的時候體驗感非常好（👍🏻手動點贊）。酒店房間裏面非常乾淨（我本人很注重這一點），而且離泡温泉的地方很近，特別方便。房間內的佈置還是很温馨的，也不存在衹有表面光鮮亮麗的情況，床單地板廁所每一處細節都很乾凈，住的這一晚上非常舒服。 順帶一提，老闆和老闆娘都很熱心，性格非常好，酒店門口還偶遇到一衹小招財貓，很粘人。整體來説這次選的這個酒店給我這次泡温泉之旅錦上添花了，下次來這邊我準備繼續來這家。
