Very nice hotel, convenient position to reach Datong old town. The room was very spacious, warm and extremely clean. Wide bathroom. Equipped with all the necessary items. Helpful and kind staff at reception counter. Excellent value for money. I recommend choosing this hotel for your trip to Datong.

If you have an early flight, this is the best location to stay. Free shuttle bus takes only 10 mins to reach Beijing Capital Airport. Several restaurants are within walking distance if you don't wish to eat in the hotel.

Location of the hotel is right at the heart of the city, within walking distance (~2 kms) to the Ancient City Wall, and about 20 minutes drive from the train station (Datongnan). The staff are very polite and courteous, and did allow us for an early check-in and a late check-out. 30 minutes drive to the Yungang Grotto, and about 90 minutes to the Hanging Temple (Xuankong Si). 5/5 recommend to anyone traveling to Datong.

Excellent. Done in the traditional hotel style but with very modern in-room amenities. Bathroom is clean and private, with nice shower including good quality—free flow—shampoo and bodywash, clean toilet and a proper door (no glass bathrooms here!). It’s so hard to find a hotel room like this these days. Most importantly, all the staff were totally amazing, and the manager is so friendly and keen to help and can speak some English which makes things all the easier. There are quite a few shaokao and noodle places around the hotel, and importantly, the snowman drink place (蜜雪冰城) is not too far away! The hotel is just a couple of Ks south of the most popular entrance to the amazing ancient wall (大同古城), and in the other direction, about five hundred metres to another nice park called Mingtan Park where I flew my new drone for the first time ever while a local man practiced perfectly his Taoist meditation completely undeterred by the annoying whirring sound of the drone! My only regret is not planning more than a single night here. There’s so much more to Datong than just the Yungang Grottoes and the Hengshan Hanging Temple (though they are both totally spectacular!), so stay a couple of nights at least if you can.

A nice hotel for a short trip in Datong

The hotel is really good and convenient. It's in a walking distance from the Ancient City and Walls, there are several small shops and local food stalls around it. The breakfast is completely Chinese style, but it's good. The gym is very small, in fact, not even a separate room, just very few machines, but it was not that important for us. Personnel are very helpful. Everyone did their best to make our stay comfortable. Especially, the manager Kristina - she is very kind, helpful, assisted us a lot, with some practical things and some advice, when it was necessary. Definitely, will stay here another time.

The location of the hotel was great, plenty of options for restaurants around, and the car park is right outside the door. My only complaint would be the breakfast, plenty of options if you're Chinese, but nothing very western on offer. On the plus side there was bottomless freshly brewed coffe

The front desk lady greeted me as soon as I entered the door. She was very kind. When I left, I left a small item behind. She called me as soon as I left. Thank you very much. I highly recommend it. The location is good, surrounded by 🈶 Parkson Shopping Center, Walmart, small restaurants, fruit stores, etc. The room is not very big, but it is very clean, the mattress is good, and the pillows are 🈶 soft and 🈶 hard to choose from. What I am not satisfied with is that the wireless speed is slow and the TV will automatically shut down, which is very annoying. I don't know why. Overall, it is very cost-effective, probably because it is the off-season for tourism.

The front desk said that this is the city center, but it seems that it takes less than 20 minutes to take a taxi from the high-speed rail station, which is not very far. Service: The front desk lady is super warm-hearted. She also lent us an umbrella when it rained, and we were very comfortable throughout the whole process.
