Good location, heart of the CBD, easy to walk to the buzzy areas, also easy to get plenty of passive cigarette smoke right outside the hotel from those low-IQ anti-lung people. Museum [Train] Station is nearby which is good - 15min ride to domestic airport, bus stops nearby can take you to The Gap too. Room was spacious, functional, it's not Hilton but no complaints, cleaning staff are polite and accommodating. No toothbrush or extra soap bars but they were very kind to provide it all when requested — even at 22:00. All staff were friendly, nothing but good vibes, except the Aussie high school girl who checked us in at reception on Friday evening. She was vacant in the brain department, seemed confused about being awake and conversing at the same time. Didn't tell us where breakfast would be (but i can follow my nose), what time it ends (i eat early anyway, so was ok), where the gym is etc. When asked, she said you get discounts on drinks at 'Cidery', although that's not the breakfast place, and i don't drink anyway but she wouldn't know that because she didn't appear to be a fan of knowledge or Q&A. All she said was ”Breakfast is at 'Ember' ” — clearly i'm supposed to know this world famous restaurant named after a dying fire, what floor it's on and which TV show the chef was on. I brilliantly figured out it's 'Amber', it is across the lounge from reception on the same level, which is one level above the entrance on Pitt Street, and i should've spotted it by turning around and checking all the angles, so my bad. There is no TV show chef but the buffet is quite good, as is the machine coffee (which is also nice and hot), so you don't need to order cappuccinos which is an extra charge (If you're new to Aus, note that all cappuccinos/lattes are at least AUD 5.00 and the service is always good, partly because they're having a laugh about selling you mostly warm milk at $5 a mug. Also coffees are never hot enough no matter how many times you say 'extra hot please' because according to law, only the weather is allowed to go above 33 degrees Celsius). Don't know if the hotel had wifi, because Reception-Girl-With-Plastic-Smile never mentioned it (It's ok, my mobile data is unlimited). The only useful thing she told us was the hotel is working on building a swimming pool someday. My wife said I must've met girls like her at Cornell except for the fact that i didn't. Overall i recommend Rydges (and also Hilton), although I prefer the correct spelling of ”ridge”.

Great location, staff are friendly and helpful. Doorman, showed excellent service - he was very friendly and made sure we had umbrellas on a a rainy day.
The room was nice and comfortable, and a generous size bed for two. Nice bathroom with bath tub, standing shower and separate toilet. The only pet peeve we had was that the ventilation in the bathroom was not that great, as there was a slight mouldy smell from the bathroom leaking in to the main room.
The gym was small but very good as it had an abundance of equipment. There was filtered water and many apples for a post-workout snack, which was very convenient.
However, all in all it was a pleasant stay and we would not hesitate to visit again, hopefully in a different room.

The hotel boasts an excellent location, with a subway station conveniently situated right across the street and numerous attractions nearby. The lobby is quite grand. However, the view from our room was unfortunately obstructed by trees, leading to poor visibility and diminishing the supposed advantage of a park-view room. Breakfast was lavish, featuring a self-service station for fresh fruit and vegetable juices. Overall, the service was decent. But we had a very frustrating experience: during morning check-out, an elderly person in our group accidentally left a public transport card tucked inside their room key. When we returned in the evening to look for it, we received no help whatsoever. Their staff proved inflexible and unhelpful, especially when confronted with an urgent issue.

Overall experience could have been improved starting from the concierge. We need to manually retrieve the luggage to our room due to shortage of head count. As for the breakfast it was quite a disaster with no changes for the menus for the past 6 days. This was not expected for a 5 stars hotel.Kindly relook on the feedback as we pay quite a premium price and was not expecting lackluster service

Love the hotel for the self service launderette. Getting around the city from the hotel is very convenient with the public bus 2mins away from the entrance. Friendly and helpful staff. Check in and out was a breeze. Australian Museum is walkable from the hotel and nearest supermarket is just beside the hotel. Halal food is also a stone's thrown away. Awesome stay. Found some good thrift shops around the hotel too.

My flight arrived early, but the receptionist made a great effort to arrange an early check-in for me before 2 PM. The front desk staff was truly enthusiastic and supportive, and I got a perfect room just as I wanted — on a high floor with a spacious city view. The room was cleaned daily and was well-maintained in terms of hygiene. The location is convenient, close to Central Station and Museum Station, right next to Hyde Park.
I had a very comfortable and pleasant 5-day stay here.
Definitely worth experiencing!

So wonderful! The staff were all incredibly sweet and accomodating. Especially towards my questions (since i’ve never booked a hotel before.)
Our room was exceptionally clean! As well as this, the cleaning staff were efficient and highly skilled at their jobs. I felt comfortable and safe the entire time, which I guess is what you’d expect but the staff truly went above and beyond the entire time. All accomodations and requests were met as well!

GGuest Userclean room after the hotel was refurbished 2024.Close access to ezmart if you need some supply, 5 minutes walk to circular quay.
If you use public transportation, Martin Place matro is just near the stree. For me it's a convenient transport.
Though Soditel Wentworth doesn't have it's own gym,but partnering with Vergin Active provides pretty solid equipped gym facility, just be aware this is not 24hrs.

YYAThe lady at the front desk was very nice, ah, ah, awesome, and the plot staff was very cute when I stayed a few days later, and put the three dolls of our three girls on the bed. When I went back, it was super warm and tidy. , I just walked to the shopping place, and I was super close to darling harbour. I was very satisfied after five nights in Sydney. & # 128076; & # 127995; & # 128076; & # 127995;

HHaven.LThe room is very spacious and has a bathtub. The structure was a bit unique, so it was interesting and fun.
Because it is a city, there is often noise in the early morning. People who are sensitive to sleep should be careful because the warning sound keeps coming from outside for about 10 minutes in the early morning and then stops. I am satisfied with everything! :))

FFancyTravelGood transportation link with trains, subways and light rails for airport and Sydney centre. Nearby big Woolworths supermarket, shops, cafe and restaurants. Hotel is a little hard to find as it’s not a grand entrance and attached to a residential building complex. Staff are friendly with smiles, amenities workable though WiFi is a bit unstable but overall good value for money in such central location. There’s a roof top terrace w/a small pool too.

GGuest UserIn short, Pullman Hyde Park Sydney is a great hotel with a gym and pool that offer good views. The rooms are clean, and the location is perfect for accessing all the famous tourist spots.
We stayed for 5 nights at Pullman Hyde Park Sydney in mid-May. We arrived at the hotel around 10 AM, which was earlier than the scheduled check-in time. We requested an early check-in at the concierge; however, we were informed that no rooms were available until 1 PM. This was understandable, given our early arrival.
While waiting, we appreciated the water dispenser and snacks available for guests. One downside was that the hotel had only three lifts, which were insufficient for the number of guests. One lift even broke down, and the other two were quite slow.
We booked a Superior King Room with a Hyde Park view, which was lovely. The room was clean, with no odors or stains. However, our first room was missing disposable slippers and had a broken phone. The staff quickly sent a technician and arranged for us to move to a higher floor with a functioning phone. They were responsive, but we had to move our luggage ourselves, as they were unable to assist with that. (It was around 6pm so they may be short-staffed at that moment.)
We spent some time at the gym, but unfortunately, the drinking water ran out around 6 PM. We called the concierge to have it replenished, but no one arrived by the time we left. The pool was decent, and there was also a jacuzzi. However, the jacuzzi was located right next to the gym and in front of the glass entrance, so anyone coming out of the elevator could see you enjoying it, which may or may not be a concern for some guests. A highlight was running on the treadmill while enjoying the stunning sunset over the city skyline—it was spectacular.
The location was fantastic! The major bus stops were just a 6-minute walk away, providing easy access to Bondi Beach, Central Station, and Darling Harbour .etc. It was also only a 15-20 minute walk to the harbour, which made exploring the area very convenient.
Overall, while I believe there are cheaper options with similar location advantages, the cleanliness at Pullman Hyde Park was notably better than those alternatives.

GGuest UserMy wife and I spent a weekend in Sydney and stayed at ibis barangoo
For the price that was asked for the king size bedroom that we stayed in facility, the absolute brilliant location and bend over backwards service from staff. I would highly recommend anybody to stay here especially if number one you’re on a budget and number two. You are looking for somewhere fairly priced and in probably the best location in the CBD.
We will be staying here again in the future as well as encouraging family and friends to do so
Last week and extra thank you to staff member JORDAN GIANNOPOULOS
Nothing was too much for his , Jordan is a credit and asset to the Ibis organisation
Enjoy your stay, regards Anthony.

GGuest UserThis appears to be an old hotel that has had the the rooms renovated so the noise travels between rooms quite easily. The carpets have not been renewed. The bed was super comfortable. The staff were really friendly. If you have mobility challenges and are unable to navigate stairs I would raise this with staff before booking. On the level I stayed, after the lift there were about 5 stairs to get to my room. I could not find a way around these. There were rooms accessible without needing to use the stairs.

BBaijiahei2006The location is fantastic, right by Central Station. It's situated in a bustling commercial district with endless options for dining, shopping, and entertainment. Even the iconic Sydney Opera House is within walking distance, and Chinatown is just around the corner. One thing to note is there's no air conditioning, which could be an issue if you're visiting during the summer months. Despite that, everything else was great. Plus, they offer free luggage storage.

CCupoftashThe location is excellent as its across the street from World Square. The rooms are small and compact. The doors are heavy and slam, very annoying at night as the walls are pretty thin. You can hear your guests in the room next door talking. The bathroom door couldn't be closed properly and the shower door, so water leaked onto the floor after showering. They also had some strange signage about leaving the doors open when you shower to avoid a $1600 fine for setting off the fire alarm- due to steam/heat from the shower. It was written in such a way that did not make sense at all. Aside from the great location, it was just far too noisy of a place to stay.
