Best location. 1 min walking to Mall road. Just behind the Glenarys.
Staffs are very much polite, helpful & caring.

The hotel location is excellent and very close to mall. Food in the in house restaurant is good and cheap. Breakfast menu is good with lot of options. The room size is on a bit smaller side but can understand the space crisis in darjeeling town. Kanchanjunga is visible from some rooms and balcony at the end of the lobby. Overall i had a good experience staying at sonar bangla.

Nice but there is no lift. I have to climb 5 floors every time. Otherwise the stay was nice and good service.

The hotel is just behind glenary’s and a 5 minute walk to mall. View from the 3rd and 4th floors for rooms facing the kanchenjunga is magnificent on clear sunny days. The restaurant serves great food and staff is very courteous and attentive. The area where they need work is better housekeeping and ensuring curtains and bed and quilt covers are clean. The bed warmers in winter are a plus that they have are a plus for a cosy and warm sleep.
