Homewood Suites by Hilton Ft. Lauderdale Airport and Cruise Port

I called them to see if they offered a shuttle to the cruise port. I was told yes and the times. I booked a time and when I got to the shuttle, I couldn't use them unless I paid in cash. I wouldn't mind that if I was told by Homewood Suites in advance. I had to pay a $15 fee. This is unfair. Won't use them again.

We stayed here after a cruise. The location was perfect, and the exterior and public areas of the building were in good shape. The staff were friendly, and the breakfast was good. I am leaving a 4 star review because our room needed maintenance.

Good location but not a good hotel. Certainly not up to Hilton standards. Stayed one night, got a king size bedroom. Room was musty, decor was dated and very worn, bed was very lumpy, towels were scratchy and worst of all, The bathroom light did not work. Parking cost extra. Breakfast was good with the standard offerings and the location was convenient near the airport but those were the only good things about this hotel

Room was small/ tight when having the pull out couch made into a bed, but room seemed clean. Beds and pillows were decent. No hair dryer. No dish soap when we had a small kitchen in room. Only two towels in bathroom. No pillows for the pullout couch just sheets. Conditioner bottle was empty in shower. After requesting these items they were delivered to our room within two hours. Phone in room did not work but they sent someone up to fix it. Requested a digital key on app but never received it. Office/computer area had a printer but it did not work- front desk asked me to email it to them and they printed. Pool was very nice along with the mini golf area. They did have a problem keeping towels stocked in the pool area. Breakfast was plentiful and yummy. Breakfast area was clean. Airport shuttle came pretty quick when called but hold on- he is a pretty crazy driver as he goes very fast around curves and turns. Overall it wasn’t that bad of a stay just a lot of things that could be improved but once we brought it to their attention they made it right.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! MY CAR WAS STOLEN!!! I bought the Park and Fly package for $400.02 and it included 7 days of parking. I paid for an additional 2 days. Without parking the room alone would have only been $224.00. I stayed the night on Feb 21 and on the 22nd flew out of Fort Lauderdale. I returned in the morning of March 2nd to find my car had been stolen from the lot. Be aware, they advertise on their site that parking is secure but when you get to the hotel, they make you sign waivers saying they aren’t responsible for your car in any way. They won’t allow a refund now because you didn’t give your cancellation notice at least 24 hours in advance. When I returned from vacation, I requested a refund since my car was stolen and they said no, not their responsibility. Also, a refund for the parking portion of the package was out of the question even though my car was there for only 2 days!! They make it easy for thieves because you must put a slip in your window indicating the date of your return. The hotel was very unsympathetic and nasty while requesting a refund for my stay. I know my car was stolen two days after I left because I was charged a toll fee going through SR91 Golden Gate on Feb 25th while I was on vacation. My car was found 10 days later totally stripped with only the frame and engine left. Up to this day I’m still unable to find out where my car was found. Miami Gardens Police found the car, but they are not providing me with the requested police report. Also, I’m still trying to get the police report of the Criminal Investigation with no luck. Lastly, I’ve requested the image of my car going through the toll on the 25th and still haven’t heard back. There’s no doubt in my mind this is organized crime as that’s what the detective suspected.

Check in was supposed to be at 3. We got to the hotle at 3 and had to wait an hour for our room. Then the room smelled musky. Other than that the hotel was ok. Not as good as other Hilton properties I have stayed at.
