Hotels in Dandong Station/The Yalu River Broken Bridge, Dandong

The best-located hotel in order to see North Korea and visit the Broken Bridge, just make sure to get a river room. Binoculars are provided in the room to see into North Korea, which is a great touch. The service was decent, but I'm not sure if it's because the didn't speak English, but the reception just gave me the room key and didn't give me any directions or assistance on how to get to the room until I had to ask. The bed is comfortable, but the room, except the bathroom, seems quite old and in need of an upgrade.

Great service and location. Very close to the train station. Room is very clean. Breakfast buffet is good enough. The only thing I was concerned about is the thin wall in between two rooms. I could hear the guest’s cough and phone conversation from the next room in the middle of the night. Would be good to request for a room near no other guests.

We stayed in the off-season and the standard twin room was 95 yuan a night, which was really too cheap. A hotel of this level in Dalian would cost at least 270 or 280 yuan. The most important thing is that the hotel staff are very friendly and have a very good service attitude. The rooms are cleaned very thoroughly. The hotel is only seven or eight minutes' walk from the Broken Bridge. It really has a superior geographical location and parking is available at the door. The breakfast at ten yuan per person has a rich variety of dishes. You will definitely not be able to finish it all if you eat out on your own with ten yuan. In short, next time I come to Dandong for tourism, I will definitely stay at his place again. Like 👍

The location is excellent, and it only takes 5 minutes to walk to the Broken Bridge and Pier 1. The hotel is not big, but it is clean, and the bedding and bath water are also very comfortable. The hotel service is very good. When entering and leaving the hotel, the staff will take the initiative to greet you and remind you to put on a coat because the weather is cold. When I left the hotel, I left a bag on the sofa in the lobby because I had a lot of luggage. The girl at the front desk chased me out and delivered the bag to me at the last minute before I got on the bus. It was a close call. Thank you very much!

First, the downsides: The parking situation is a major flaw. The ramp leading into the parking area is incredibly steep, and I ended up scraping my car's undercarriage. With cars parked so close, there was no way to approach it at an angle. What's more, the security staff didn't even offer a warning! Will the hotel take responsibility for this damage to my car's undercarriage?!!! 😡😡😡😡😡 (See photos 1 and 6). My wide-angle photos don't even fully capture just how steep and problematic that ramp truly is!! On the positive side: Being a chain hotel, it felt reliable. Both the overall environment and cleanliness were excellent, and most importantly, the air conditioning was blessedly quiet. Great hotel. Amanda and Ivy on reception were very helpful and kind. The room was clean and quiet with a great view of the river. Really good location in walking distance of the train station, river and lots of nice restaurants. Highly recommend

Enranju Hotel was chosen after I arrived. I also saw her signboard at Dandong Railway Station. It was really close. When I left the train station, I entered the road to the left and saw KFC. It was very convenient. If it is late autumn, come over. You can also see the beautiful ginkgo tree in front of her house, what a beautiful autumn color, you can experience it in Anranju Her front desk service is very good, the room is bright and spacious, I am a big bed for one night, the facilities are not bad, smart, equipped, breakfast is also available, the key is to 10 o'clock, you can go to the broken bridge early and come back to eat, her home is very close to the attractions, The train station also has a direct transportation car to the Hushan Great Wall. It is a very awkward hotel. The photo was taken after my stay. If you have a good experience, you will have a good mood.

Facilities: All facilities are new and comprehensive; the laundry room is spotless. The room isn't huge, but it's well-appointed and compact. Extending the curtain rod higher up would make it feel brighter and more spacious. Cleanliness: Impeccable. The breakfast service was efficient and tidy, with every corner of the room meticulously cleaned. Environment: Consistently comfortable. Service: Atour's service is truly their standout feature. They consistently anticipate your needs, respond to requests promptly, and even surprised us with complimentary fruit and tea. I haven't stayed at many Atour hotels, but this one served the best breakfast I've had – it even satisfied my Jiangsu and Zhejiang palate. Their late-night 'Shenye Zhoudao' congee service was a lifesaver, especially after indulging in greasy BBQ daily; the rice porridge was incredibly comforting. I hope to return during strawberry season and secure a slightly larger room. A minor critique regarding Atour's system: previously, Ctrip (Trip.com) benefits and membership perks weren't always compatible. However, the front desk handled the issue appropriately, which was much appreciated.

This hotel's location is truly impeccable. It's very close to the Broken Bridge, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the scenic spots. The surrounding area is also bustling, making dining and shopping a breeze. However, the accommodation experience was somewhat disappointing: the dry and wet area wasn't well separated, so water easily accumulated after showering. The drain wasn't very clear, making it difficult to use. The overall cleanliness was also lacking, with some attention to detail. If location is your primary concern and details aren't top-notch, this hotel is a good choice.

Location was great 30 seconds walk to train station , pick up point right outside hotel for taxis, good view towards North Korea side and bridge from higher floors. My room was very dated and old with musty smell and signs of age on walls and furniture. The bedroom was no frills i.e. no tissue or tea provided in room. Sheets were clean and ok. The bathroom has a slight smell of pee, and shower area is not separated from rest of bathroom so whole bathroom gets wet during shower. However bathroom is stocked with the usual necessities like toothbrush, soap, hairdryer, towels, toilet rolls which is good. Overall, good value for budget travellers due to low cost. I would not stay here again next time I visit Dandong as there are other similar priced hotels 1-3 minutes further from the train station, but without the view to North Korea.
