We visited just for the weekend and what an amazing time it was. The staff on reception were professional and welcoming, speaking a number of different languages, including English, as did all the staff we encountered during our stay. I was so thankful for this as I saw one of the reviews which stated an expectation to speak French, this was simply not the case for us. We had a fabulous spacious 4th floor room on the park side with a small balcony. The bed was by far the most comfortable hotel bed I have slept in so far and the slippers provided, a much better quality that those in other hotels and we have been to a fair few. The bathroom was great, but just a word of caution if having a soak in the tub as it’s very prone to slipping due to the shape. A rubber mat for inside the bath is provided for you to use. Breakfast was a buffet only (no menu) and was very limited, although you can order a number of different egg dishes. There was just one chef and a bit of a queue. I don’t think this was unusual as there was a polite notice asking guests to come back once they have placed their order, which I did and maybe I shouldn’t have as it seemed that my order was then put on the back burner. I know this as I saw countless others guest getting their orders in and receiving their dishes before me. It’s only when I approached the station that the chef then went to get my order. The eggs Benedict received was ok but very close to being hard boiled and I prefer a runny yolk. The breakfast experience overall was ok, with staff being very polite when you asked them something, but this could have been better by them checking in to see if we had everything we needed, e.g. more coffee. I always think when it comes to hotels and indeed in life that ‘you don’t know what you don’t know’ and so far this year we’ve had exceptional service at breakfast from the Westin Palace Madrid and a truly amazing buffet with options to order extra dishes at the Ritz Carlton in Vienna, both of which renewed my faith in the hotel breakfast experience, so I know more can be done here at this hotel. We didn’t swim in the pool but it was a good size. The gym was amazing if you like like to keep your exercise up whilst away and the staff were very friendly. A tip for guests wanting to visit Versailles Palace & gardens, get you tickets from the concierge if you haven’t booked in advance. Indeed we hadn’t booked in advance and there were no tickets on the website when looked, so we were so relieved when we asked the concierge about this. One of the highlights of our stay has to be the view from our balcony at night of the Bastille fireworks, this was simply outstanding and totally unexpected, an experience which we aim to replicate next year and will return. Such an expensive disappointment. Visiting for two nights on business, the property needs a lot of love. No water, tea or coffee making facilities in the room, breakfast buffet closed 35 minutes early one morning, so all I had for a 14 hour day was a very sad looking croissant. Food at the restaurant was awful. Weird concept and i left both nights still being hungry as neither of my meals were at all nice. The Bar was incredibly expensive and lacked any sort of atmosphere. I would do my best to not come back and book into another hotel.

We are delighted to soon be staying at the Abbaye in early December to celebrate an anniversary! In fact, we made the decision to sacrifice a few days of our short Paris visit to make the most of this beautiful property. We had a few outstanding questions regarding logistics and in calling the hotel, I was provided with immediate answers, helpful insight, and absolutely superb customer service from the front desk and the reservation team. If this is any indication of what’s in store, I am thrilled! I’d like to especially acknowledge Rafael and Adele for their kindness, professionalism, and patience. We are truly looking forward to enjoying all the offerings of the Abbaye, especially exploring the grounds by foot and boat, wellness services, petting some farm animals, as well as indulging in the on-site activities and restaurants. This will be my partner’s first time to France and I know he is in for a memorable experience! I will happily update this review upon completion of our stay.

Nous avons organisé notre mariage dans la salle de réception du Novotel. Nous sommes ravis d’avoir choisi cet hôtel comme lieux de fête. Le service était impeccable, l’accueil également. Le repas était excellent. Et nous avons pu profiter de faire la fête et ensuite de dormir sur place ! L’équipe est d’une gentillesse et d’un très grand professionnalisme. Marie a été d’une grande aide pour que tout soit parfait le jour J. Je la remercie vivement également pour sa sympathie ainsi que toute son équipe. Les chambres étaient spacieuses et très confortables. Je recommande vivement. Allez y les yeux fermés ! Un grand merci à toute l’équipe pour notre mariage qui fut magique ☺️ Caroline & David

Considering the price we paid for the room, it was cramped and the level of service we received at the front desk was poor. The hotel restaurant had been fully booked by a bus group so we asked the chap on the front desk for recommendations who gave extremely vague directions to a nearby Buffalo Grill, I had the impression he just couldn't be bothered. Furthermore, it was a hot day and the room was not equipped with air conditioning or a fan, again, considering the price of the room, I would have expected this. On a positive note, the pool was clean and a welcome addition following a long drive.

Located very close to Paris, kind staff, ok wifi and sleep quality. Water pressure is mediocre. We stayed in a second floor standard room which was a bit small but well designed. Nothing luxurious about the domaine but it is calm, clean, well designed and close to Paris. We could not find a spot at the restaurants in the domaine and there are not many good choices around so make sure you get a spot at the domaine restaurants. Parking is convenient. The bar at the reception floor offers food variety of drinks and snacks and has a great view and service. There's a small cinema and pool table to pass the time. Overall, ok for the money you pay.

The hotel is a very nice hotel with a beautiful decor. Unfortunately with the Covid we have not been able to enjoy the swimming pool or the fitness room. The rooms are large and very well-organized. There is everything necessary to cook and eat. The hotel is very friendly and very friendly.
